RE: Boondocking in a TT

I have no idea what the salesman's game was, but my wife and I always boondocked in our TT - basically all we did. And yes, it was totally self contained with the exception of the generator which wasn't built-in but was bought seperately and carried in our TV.

RE: Help High Winds!

We often get winds like you are mentioning . . . and occasionally worse, being on the lee side of the Sierras. Our trailer was always parked in our driveway, broadside to the wind with never a problem. As suggested, stabilizers down, awning and/or slide in and make sure any roof vents are securely closed. Relax and sleep well!

RE: Stab Jacks and Lubricating

I've always use a spray product called "TDL Dry Lube" which I get from Lowe's. Seems to work quite well and once dry (minutes)it doesn't attract dirt, etc.

RE: Tote for 30 gallon gray water tank

We have two twelve gallon units. Filled, they each weigh over 95 lbs and are a little clumbersome to get into the PU, but are manageable. (A 27 gal unit will weigh over 200 lbs when full and a 35 gallon, close to 300!) While the larger ones are "towable", many NF and State campgrounds don't have dump stations on site and you may have to go out on a road, or highway to get to one. They aren't made to travel at even close to reasonable speeds ;)
