RE: Family cabin style tent recommendations please

Well I guess you have looked at the cabelas tents. I really need to give a mark for the alaknak tent. I must say the only tent i would consider over it is the ones you have been talking about. they look very nice. I love my alaknak but you cant go wrong with the tents you are looking at.

RE: Anyone towing with a Hyundai ?

Hey if you like the Hyundai, get one, it will pull the pop up just fine. I wish the moderator would pull everyones comment that says you need a truck or what ever. happy camping.

RE: one pole tent?

hello and i love my Cabellas Alaknak tent. it is the 12x12 tent with the big main pole in the middle and has the small poles around the side. If you use the stove you need to get the extra part for the roof that protects the roof from any stray sparks. I must say it is the best tent i have ever had,.. a month ago we baught the extra part for it that makes like a hall from the front door. now i put all my gear in the front hall, and the rest of the tent is for my wife kid and me. I have a nice tt, but when i go with the boyscouts or just need to rough it, i use the Alaknak.

RE: Camping with a motorcycle.

Hey I've had both old and new sportys and I can say that they can be made to be a good touring bike, with both mid controls and highway pegs and a good seat. shield and some other stuff they will work great. At this time i ride a harley ultra, but that is because wife rides on back and not on her own bike any more. when she starts riding again, I will be getting a nightster for me. And yes we rode the sportys to bike week in Daytona, that is over 1000 miles in two days. and it was alot of fun. But I must say you have to get the rubber mounted bike or your life will not be happy. Good luck on what you get. Japanese bikes are very good also. BMW's I know cost alot to get fixed, but that is no real problem they are like a harley, but you dont have 5 million places to get the BMW fixed and the harley has a shop around every corner. So think about that too.
