I'd be all over that Rage'n 3005 for $16K if it's in good condition. It would probably be selling for $25+ if the market didn't tank. I wish I could find a screaming deal like that on a 3405 model.
Same here. Got my loaded 06 in late 07 for $27K. Some stuff was still in plastic, less than 50 hrs on the genset.
$16K wow....

I've got a 4x4, crew cab, short bed with larger (taller and wider) than stock MT tires. I get about 10 - 12 not towing, closer to 12 on the "open road".

7-8 pulling 12k 5th.

Anyone with any first hand knowledge know what the demand is for toy haulers? Went to 2 local dealers and they said they won't even stock more then a couple at a time, but that is new and I am more interested in used. Trying to decide where to start the negotiations on a few used that I have been watching. Seems like for the first time dealers are listing used prices much much lower then private party. One we are particularly interested in is a 2006 Ragen fa3005, listed for about $16k.
Thanks for any input...
#1 Me likes the FA3005.
#2 I think both new and use markets are willing to flex a bit.
Most do not have money for toys right now. Dealers need to move inventory before it's last years model.
Privet party selling used have only two reasons. They got a good deal on a new or newer unit or they are having financial issues and just have to sell it.
#3 Don't be blinded by a really good price. A camper with a rotted roof/floor is not worth squat. Inspect every unit well.

#1 A good job and my health.
The wife got a nice watch and few interior comfort/convenience items for the TH. I got a wireless keyboard and mouse. My workshop is on hold for now.
I'm a half empty kinda person but I'll count my blessings and move forward. I hope others can do the same, crappy year for many. I have family members that have become unemployed and are having a tough time making the mortgage payment. I'll do what I can for them but I sure hope 2010 is better.

RE: pump relay specs?
There should be a rating stamped on it. Clean off the crusty terminals first and re-test.
If nothing else I would go with a 100 amp continuous duty solenoid vs a starting solenoid.

I would think about where you like to go. My Rage'n was set for "big air", and I have about 8 inchs of bed clearance. Just lucked out, I go mostly to state parks with graded roads. The campgrounds roads are usually rougher.

Not sure on the 05 Expi: Several of the Ford mirrors will swap. I've put the tow mirrors off a 03-04 E250 on a F150 which is simular to the Expi and put F250 Telescopic tow mirrors on the E250.

Actually- I don't find it any harder to haul my fifth wheel than I did my 22 foot bumper pull.
In fact having all the space means we use the trailer even when the weather is not perfect because we have so much space once we set up.
X2.
After my first trip I found I could set up and pack up in a lot less time than with my 24FT TH. I do drive a little slower towing the 5th.
