RE: M D Anderson Hosp. Houston Texas
We stayed at Lakeview RV Park while going through diagnostics at MDA. It is a really nice park.
However, our next stay will be at South Main RV Park. A little(very little) closer to MDA, the wife says it is more convenient for her and she likes the trees.
Really it is just a toss up as where to stay. I have nothing negative to report on either park.
Good luck to you and yours.
I am scheduled for surgery in mid October; However, that is subject to change.
RE: Great Campgrounds from Houston to Albuquerque to Dallas?
If want to get off the interstate, take hiway 90 west from San Antonio.
An Army Fort in Brackettville converted to condos, apartments and a quiet RV park. Stayed there last summer, it was a nice place.
Down the road(just past Langtry) is Sanderson. Another good RV park,
Alpine has 2 or 3 park(Lost Alaskan for one), Ft Davis St Park, is a GREAT park, cool, near the McDonald Observatory.
I prefer hiway 90 over I-10 anytime. On 10, there is a nice park in Junction and a good overnighter about 5 miles east of Ozona(Travel R Truck stop or something like that). There is a small antique auto museum at the Ozona stop.
After Ozona, the previously mentioned Balmorhea State Park is a good stop.
Y'all have fun now.
California in September
We are thinking of a trip to California in September(after kids are back in school and we won't be in their way). Are the parks around Yosemite and Sequoyia National Parks open that time of year.
Thanks for your help and any info you can add.
