RE: Fun Comment at the RV Show this past weekend
I had a similiar sales man experience as well. I too went to the RV show. I was looking at a really nice 3 axle toy hauler. CVWR of the trailer was 17,000 pounds. I told the guy I only had a 2500 truck and the weight was to much. He looked at the white label and get this, he says I can print out a new label and have it say what ever you want it to say. Not that I could afford it anyway but I think I know better to fall for that. What a way to make a sale.
RE: Pyramid Lake, Nevada
I spend a lot of time at Pyramid Lake in the summer camping but not at the Marina RV. They do have full hook-ups there. Cost unknown. We dry camp. Pretty much anywhere you want to park you can camp. Right on the water. You do need a permit for $9.00 a night. Be careful of the sand, in some areas it can get you real quick. I will be there on Sunday fishing. Been doing a lot of that this winter. Have fun.
RE: Stereo install
WOJO1
Do you have any specs and or pic's of you brothers setup?
I can get some but not anytime soon. He is on a 2 week AD. I can tell you that the stereo is a Pioneer with IPod hook up. Which means that the optional cable plugs right into the IPod and also charges it as well.
RE: Stereo install
OH man, you can go crazy with this. On my brothers unit, we installed a car stereo with a universal mount system on the top portion of the storage bay. It does take up a little room but not much. Added an amp on the front wall, all the wires are protected. He uses outdoor speakers that sound really good. All this to listen to the Ipod/Sirius and not have to bug the wife inside while sleeping. The speakers can be moved closer to the fire and with the remote you can turn it up down when needed. It really is slick and keeps us out of trouble. This types of ideas can be taken so far with a little imagination and some money.
