RE: Drilling in Brick

Depends. Is it "fired clay" brick", or something more soft? Also, are you using a masonry bit, one should have (maybe) been provided with the Tapcon screws. Hopefully you can drill one or a few holes without an impact drill.

RE: BBQ Joints in campgrounds

DraginRat, that would be Rockport, Texas on the coast. I drive past the RV park with the BBQ out front. I cannot remember the name of the place, but will make it a high priority to drop in this weekend.

RE: Fire Ants

We have two very curious Yorkies and use Amdro, understand it to be safe around pets if used according to the directions. Apply when the ants are likely most active, takes a week to work but we've been very satisfied with the long term results. FYI, we use the bait formula, not the Amdro Fire Ant Stop. Home Dept and Lowes carry the bait.

RE: Hail Damage,Replacing Plastic Roof Vent cover

Robby, if your vent cranks up you can extend the crank-up mechanism then easily detach it from the cover. Then you should be able to remove the plastic cover by backing it completely off the hinges. As said previously, be sure to get the correct replacement, also for $10 more you can buy the heavier version that is UV resistant.

RE: Help Blue Ox or Roadmaster????

Dave, our Roadmaster has the articulating arms and joints, yet we experience much the same as you describe. I also should have added our preference to hook up on a near-level surface.
I too believe at least some of it is "operator error".

RE: Best Texas Campgrounds For Winter

Texas has a big coastline, so there's endless possibiblities. But, Rockport has always been one of our favorite places, in fact we just built our retirement home there. Waters Edge and Sand Dollar RV Parks are two excellent choices. Stayed there many times. Both are on the water, have fishing piers, close to anything you might need.
Send me a PM if you have questions.

RE: Crazy Horse, Lake Havasu did me wrong?

Like Phone Man said, pull all of your dates, times, person you spoke to, who was on the phone with you, etc. Put all that to paper, then dispute the charge and send a copy to the CG manager or owner.
There is nothing worse than total disregard for customer service.

RE: dual pane window????

Don't buy a new window for $800. If you are reasonably mechanical you can remonve the existing window unit, and have a new double-pane insert made for the old frame. I did that for the Tiffin's entry door, spent less than $100 plus my time.
