RE: Selecting 5er getting close to decision

Got back to a computer...here is the link. I also have my written warranty in PDF form, but don't know how to post a PDF file.
2&5 Landmark Warranty
It sounds like they need to get their dealerships updated also then because we just looked at them about 3 weeks ago. No 2 year stickers and the dealership did say it was only 1 year. My apologies if this created some confusion. Overall I still think their quality left a lot to be desired but hey...that's why there's a bunch out there to choose from!!

RE: Selecting 5er getting close to decision

Landmark does NOT have a 2 year warranty. They are still one year and their new ones are certainly lower in quality. Just looked at them as a consideration. Redwoods...just looked at them also...lipstick on a pig. If you want a fulltiming rig you need to buy one. We just upgraded our Escalade to a Lifestyle to pick up next week. Take a look. Built by the folks that did Carriage...
All this is my opinion of course...your opinion may be different.

RE: Looks like Redwood is bringing back Carriage

If you're really interested in buying a carriage they're being manufactured almost exactly as in the past by Lifestyle. Many of the prior employees and expertise are working there. They build using the same frame techniques.

Thor just bought the name. It will never be the same.
This is the closest to a Carriage that I've seen. We were getting ready to buy a carriage when they closed up. We looked hard at the Lifestyle this last weekend. Quality looks good. Heck of a lot better than the cheap Redwoods...

RE: Where are you working/volunteering this summer?

Our fourth summer as camp host in Cimarron Canyon state park. We love it there beautiful area on a stream in the Northern New Mexico mountains. Never gets real hot and always cool at night. Come by and see us.

RE: Recommendations for Microwaive replacement

Thanks for all the info.
We do not run the Mirco off the batteries. If we use it dry camping we are only heating up leftovers and kid food so we just turn on the genny and run the micro from that.
So we can get one from Home Depot? Can you get kits to secure it like the one the defunct Samsung one has? The bracket had also cracked about a year ago and was rattling so much we used some of theat sticky drawer liner to stop the noise!
Any issues with venting a non-RV one? there are no vents now except out the front grill.
Thanks for the help!
The plates all lined up and I did put a couple of extra screws upwards through the frame before sliding it in. It really wasn't much different than putting one in a stix and brix. We had ours vent out the front and siliconed the outside vent closed. Pretty easy with 2 sets of hands... Just measure the opening you have and go look to see what you can find. I second the Amazon if you're looking for a little one. Good luck
I used the existing trim plate from the previous microwave to secure it. that mean a couple of new holes in the new microwave, but it fit right in. That also gave venting out the front.
OK as to places to buy the Panansonic. IF your microwave is one of the "medium" sized ones, then Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowes etc usually has them. If it is the small <1cuFt model, then I found that amazon was the best source. Most places only carried the $49 small microwaves, I guess no one wanted to pay $100 for a "small" microwave!!

RE: Recommendations for Microwaive replacement

We went to Home depot/Lowes and looked at scratch and dent ones after measuring how much space we had. Got one with a scratch on the side that can't be seen anyway and saved a lot of $$$...

RE: Campground Web Sites

As a website creator, it sounds like you want a picture of every spot in a park? If you do, it would be much easier to call and ask or just go visit. No matter how a picture is taken someone will complain just like you are. Sorry if this offends you but...
As a web designer, you would want to get people to patronize your client's business. I would view these criticisms as constructive and work to better the product, not just complain about the complainers.
I have seen many campground websites that have a link to at least "typical" sites. Pics of general sites is the first thing I check when viewing these websites. But being a web designer, you probably already know that.
I've only done a few campground websites and they were for mom and pop cg's and I can assure you that the emphasis is on amenities. I usually shoot my own pics for them and they don't want the site pics. I have talked them into cg maps... I can say that we've only ran into one cg that we thought the sites didn't match the pics.

RE: Rephrasing Florida question

This is our 3rd year in Sebring. Sure there is humidity but only you can decide what is important to you. We lived in the dryness of the high desert in Albuquerque for 4 years and loved it. But we also like the humidity here. In our opinion it's much better here than TX...

RE: Broke down on the side of the road

$155...you got off cheap. We broke a leaf spring west of Memphis early this year but didn't notice it until we got halfway through AR. It happens. Make sure you change out the spring on the other side of the axle as soon as you can. I did that myself...

RE: Disgusted with KZ quality

Wow. You must not get much time in your RV huh? Your problems aren't any worse that anyone else's that buys a new rig. I have to laugh when people say they have never had problems with a new rig. Get it fixed and get on your way. We had some minor issues with ours when we bought it new in late 2005 but since then it's been maintenance stuff. It's not just KZ...
