RE: Dollywood and Nashville Campground recomendations

Just stayed at Pine Mountain for Easter weekend. Nice sites, excellent shower house/bathrooms. The location was great too. I'll probably get flamed for this, but the only problem was all the kids running around and thru sites. There is also not many mature trees, so there will be not much shade in the summer. Up The Creek is still our top choice for the area, but Pine Mountain is a solid second choice.

RE: Hensley Arrow or Propride 3p

I too own a Hensley and won't tow with anything else. Look around for a good used HA. I found mine for $800 on ebay and it was less than 2 years old and in mint condition. I called Hensley and they gave me the lifetime warranty on it also. Great company. That being said< I've also heard good things about the ProPride. Good Luck!

RE: Do You Check WDH Torque?

Check my Hensley twice a year with a torque wrench, as well as lugs on TT and TV.

RE: portable grill recommendations

I have a Weber Q200. IIRC it is not 10-12K BTU but works very well for us. If it is to be a dedicated grill for your TT, take off the regulator and attach a hose with the quick connect fitting and your good to go. Have fun.
Same setup I have. Works like a champ!

RE: if the house is rockin.......

Seems like a lot of extra work. I use these..BAL 23216 Lock-Arm Stabilizing Bar. The lower with the stab jacks and work great.

RE: Another way to stop the rocking

Try using these...BAL 23216 Lock-Arm Stabilizing Bar. They will eliminate most if not all movement when in place.

RE: DeWalt 18VDC Drill/Driver sufficient for Stabilizing Jacks?

Just an addition, but I believe stabalizer jacks are a universal 3/4" socket correct?
Yes they are.

I just got my cards in the mail also. Worked out great as we were shopping around for this service before our first long road trip.

RE: Install hooks in RV walls?

The 3M hooks work great for us. Have several of them in use and not one of them have failed.
Same here. They have "metal" looking ones also, so they match up with most decor.

RE: RV Bathrooms

Ours have always come WITH these items but they usually are not mounted so we could place them where we wanted them. I know I'm a little picky as to where those type of things are placed so I appreciate it that way.
Same here.

RE: Radio in a Forest River TT

Check your unit. If it is a Concertone, then it is prolly out for the count. They were notorious for problems. If it's under warranty, take it back to the dealer. They know all about them. The newer models, which seem to be working hands down better are the Genesis model. You can do a google search and download the manual for both. Good luck!

RE: Gas vs Diesel

Had a gasser and went diesel. Will never go back to gas again. Of course my tv is used solely for towing. Diesels will hold their value better over a gasser. To each his own I guess.

RE: Used Hensley

I love mine! New stinger will run you about $220. Call Hensley and they will ask you your truck hitch height and trailer hitch height. They will then let you know what size stinger you will need. I have a 6" sitting in my garage should that be the size you wind up needing.

RE: Oxygenics showerheads

They work great. Bought mine off of ebay for about $30 delivered. As for the folks complaining that it is heavy and will break the holder...Oxygenics makes a shower head holder that is beefed up and properly fits the shower head. The one that comes with the original shower is is weak at best.

RE: Norcold Fridge not working.

Just had an issue with mine. I went from LP to electric. If your running LP and the light is flashing or not coming on, then there is air in the propane line. The clicking sound you are hearing is likely the fridge trying to go back to electric, as it wants to run from the most efficient power source, which will be electric. Like the others have said, make sure the battery is charged up and your power is good from the campground. We just turned ours off for 5 minutes and turned it back on to electric and it's working great. They are finnicky!
