RE: When buying a used TT a picture is NOT worth 1000 words...
:) We went to look at one, one time, that didn't have pictures. I asked if there was any sign of mold or mildew. Was told no. Well, good thing they weren't too far from our home. When we got there, one whole wall in the bedroom area was falling down......BLACK MOLD!!!!! I just looked at the woman and asked her if she even knew what mold meant.....SHEESH!!!

Crater Lake, Oregon -- roads opening
It's been announced this morning that the roads to Crater Lake are opening. They expect the north entrance (usually the last to open) to open next week. Low snowfall has allowed the early opening. :) :)

RE: the worse built motorhome you can think of
We had a 2002 Rexhall Rexair. It was the worst in my book. Had to replace both faucets...they had cheap plastic type in it, the backup camera quit, the dash air gave out within 2 yrs, the A/C gave out within 3 yrs, the hydraulics for the slides leaked, no matter who worked on it they weren't able to get that to stop, and the slides leaked. Finally after 3 different places tried to fix the leaks, DH took the slides apart inside the rig and discovered NO caulking on most of the slides, NO screws in places it needed screws and 3/4" gaps in the flashing.....perfect for water to get into the rig. The bedroom slide had ONE screw holding it on........!!!!! Finally, we were able to sell it 4 yrs after buying......we gave up!

Once again, I disagree with the masses. Whether there was permanent damage depends on how big the leak was, how was it repaired, and was it dried out. Go see the Roo and ask the owner for a leak test......lay a hose on the roof and watch it for a long time (as long as they'll let you) to see if there's still a leak. Look at the ceiling and the wood grain cabinets to see if there's massive damage or a small bit of damage. We bought a 1984 5th wheel that had had a leak.....have had it for 2 years and NO problems.

DH just did a similar job. He replaced ALL fluorescent lights in our rig with LED strips. BIG difference in energy consumption AND in the lighting itself!! :)

I've used baking soda after brushing with regular toothpast, for 7 yrs now. After 5 yrs of using, my dentist found no cavities and very little plaque!!! That was new to me.....because generally had a cavity at least once a year. :) :) Not saying soniccare isn't good, just a cheaper alternative with baking soda.

Our screen room is a Carefree of Colorado. It wasn't advertised at the RV stores, but was purchased thru one. They kept the catalog under the table (it was less expensive).

We've experienced the same thing. We found California campgrounds to be consistently wrong in the reviews. One 5 star park had mud puddles so big you couldn't walk around them......as I was walking to the office to report the electric meter didn't work. They only one spot for our big rig......they told us they knew it didn't work and here....handed us a small extension cord -- the kind you use for lamps IN the home!!!!!! The next one was crowded to the point of not being able to get our rig thru the park......and the mud puddle was so deep our rig tipped.....we backed out and left. A third place we went to was a 2 star......we were nervous......but actually was the BEST of all of them!!!!

I agree with donkeydew.....however, I'd suggest if you're can, go south on 101. It's easier to pull off at scenic points going south than driving north. :) Have a great time!

My only problem with CW is that they don't have one in Bend, Oregon (or nearby). We have to go over mountain passes to get to the nearest one. This area NEEDS them.......the local RV dealerships/repair shops are rip offs.
