RE: Protect A Tow for Jeep?

I used one on my Jeep Liberty when we were in Alaska and the Yukon, but have not on since and have no rock problems.

RE: Timed Bathroom Fan

Isn't that type of switch meant for house current?

Timed Bathroom Fan

I have this problem of turning the bathroom fan on and forgetting about it. At home I fixed the problem with timers on the bathroom fans. Does anyone know of a timed switch that can be obtained for 12 volt use?

RE: Anyone replaced the dishwasher with an Oven?

We have a 2004 Itasca Horizon 40ad with a dishwasher that isn't working. We were thinking that rather than replace the dishwasher, we would prefer to have an oven. The current set up is that there is a range, then under the range is a drawer, and then under the drawer is a dishwasher.
What I was thinking of doing is replacing the dishwasher with something like this:
http://www.dometic.com/enie/International/Site/Caravan/Ovens/product/?productdataid=75753
I can't seem to find anyone that carries them though, and it looks like Dometic is the only manufacturer that makes ovens without the range?
Has anyone ever done this before? Any other ovens that you're aware of?
Thanks,
Darryl
I'm sorry Darryl for making light of your question, but it was too good to pass up.

RE: Towing a 2007 Jeep Compass "automatic"

Isn't the Compass the same vehicle as the Patriot. If so the dealer told me it couldn't be towed flat as there is no neutral in the transfer case. We got a Liberty and are very happy with it.

RE: Advice on RVs

The only problems we have had are things that go wrong or wear out on a 10 year old motorhome. We bought it last year with 50,000 miles on it, put on 10,000 last year and are leaving on Wed morning on a cross country trip.

RE: 1 of 2 cooling fans in cabin quit

Switch them and take hers. Most cost effective fix.

RE: Unified Tow Brake

OMG I am absolutely speechless here looking at your pics. But has nothing to do with the UTB. I got mine last year put on 8000miles and had no problems with it. Other than switching the round 6 prong plug to a 7 prong this year due to connection issues for the towing lights. From what I see the issues are all with the installer. Go up his chain of command.!!!

RE: LED TV mount

If a movable mount is used something has to be done to it to make it un-movable for travel.

RE: LED TV mount

I made my own box that slid inside the empty cupboard, bolted the TV right to it then bolted the box into place from inside the existing cupboards on either side.

RE: Inside water pressure on HR/Monaco

I have the same problem with the kitchen tap in my 02 National Seabreeze I am convinced it is a low flow spray head on the taps in the kitchen. I want to change them but haven't done it yet. I did drill out the restricting hole larger but haven't de-winterized it yet to find out if it will fix it

RE: National Dolphin MH

I have a 2002 National SeaBreeze and am happy with it. Other than problems that occur on a 10 year old M/H there haven't been any.
What model is yours?

RE: Struts to hold bed up for storage

My struts used to hold the bed up, but I guess they wore out. I cut a broom handle the right length and stick it under when the bed is up. Problem solved virtually for free.

RE: Wheel bearings

Is there any advantage to using the self lubricating fittings on a travel trailer like many use on their boat trailers in this area.
I would highly not recommend that. Done on boats to keep water out of the bearings. On a TT there is a high likelyhood grease will bypass the inner seal and ruin your brake shoes. I see no reason to take that risk.
Thank you, you answered a discussion with a friend.
