RE: Lost my fee

Now after 5 pages of replies and many views on the matter, I suggest we let this situation die a happy death. I agree. It's time to put this topic to rest. Sandi (Moderator)

RE: New Gorgeous RV Resort Park/Campground

There is absolutely NO evidence that member, travelnutz, has any commercial interest in this RV Park. Over the years he has graciously assisted many other members with their travel and RV Park questions. I, for one, appreciate him sharing his impressions of this new RV Park in his area. RE: Arizona State Park camping fees

The OP's thread is concerning "Arizona State Park Camping Fees". Let's stick to this topic and refrain from taking the discussion in another direction. If you have a concern/comment that is not directly related to "Arizona State Camping Fees", I would suggest you start your own thread. Thank You, Sandi (Moderator)

RE: Acrophobia

I have the same problem as a passenger in our class A. I saved this long thread and read it every once in a while to remind myself that I am not alone. My wife is afraid to ride in our Class A. Sandi

RE: NO Drinking Water SW Colorado NW New Mexico

I must say that the title of this topic isn't based on any facts I've seen. "NO Drinking Water SW Colorado NW New Mexico". Municipal water inlets to the Animas were closed before the pollution got to town. The metal content of the river through Durango is now about normal and the town is able to use river water again rather than just relying on wells. Only wells near the river might have problems. Plenty of other water sources are completely unaffected. Did the EPA err? No doubt. But they have done lots to help restore formally "dead" streams in the San Juans. I've personally observed a number of restorations that have been undertaken since the 1970's when I first started studying geology down there. And it's not just old mines. Remember Summitville from the 1980's and 1990's? The operator got the gold they wanted, then stopped clean up and declared bankruptcy. Private enterprise dumped the cost of cleanup on all of us, even though they'd recovered nearly 300,000 ounces of gold. Tend to agree with Ken, once again. Just Read that the stream is now testing back at the same level as before the spill. While the spill may have not been good the area is Just TOO Beautiful not to Be IN if in the area. Be smart and if in the area enjoy one of the last great Wilderness area. JMHO, With that, it is time to close this thread.

RE: Walmart camping

My longest Walmart thread as a Moderator was 214 pages long. This was my last post before locking it down: Well, folks, this Walmart Thread has been quite a ride. However, it has outrun its usefulness. What we have now consists for the most part of the following: Members reposting their original posts. Other members counting and analyzing those posts. New Members wanting to know what all the fuss is. Posts that are totally off-topic. Trollers posting something inflammatory just to get a rise out others. Besides that, my editing and deleting finger is tired. Thank you all for responding to this thread over the last year. May it rest in peace. And so may I. That was in 2005. Things have not changed much. Sandi
