RE: service cost

Do it yourself, very easy to do. It unscrews and screws back on. About like changing a oil filter. Bleader screw is on top. Blead the air out once changed and done.

RE: Hydro Flame 8516 II and 8520 II

Okay, got it. Amps at 12 volts DC are 4.4 on both furnaces. Thus, 12 X 4.4 is 52.8. Seems like a small wattage draw. I thought it would be a lot more. Thus a 800 watt genny be just fine to run the furnaces. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
More than enough power for both, glad I could help.

RE: Voltage 3950 Slides

If this is on the bed room slide it maybe be like mine. Mine was actually the antenna. Thought it was the slide at first but then I cought it dripping on my head one day. I have a 3795 though. If the antenna is above the wet carpet check it for leaks. I had no visable water on the ceiling.

RE: Forward/Back chucking of trailer in jaws Voltage 3905

If your trial air is a tri glide, that is normal. But if its not, you have a problem for sure.
I think this is the case you have the tri glide like stated above, I do on my 3795 if so this is normal.
Trail air's come both ways with and without. Do you have 3 greese fittings on either side of the pin box? if so it has a tri-glide.

RE: Daytona show prices for Voltage 3795

On my 3795 epic msrp was just over 102,000, deal done at 64,500 no trade. Your close but there may be some more money to save if that includes your trade. This was at a dealer not a show.

RE: For all the B&W owners out there...

This is the first I've heard of a serious defect with a B&W hitch. Considering how many on this forum, and how many are out there all together, it's a non-issue AFAIC.
Mine has probably 20,000+ miles and still going strong. You can't find a better hitch. Maybe as good, but none better.
Thats what I keep hearing, but just saying
Maybe it was installed on a bedliner or rubber mat? Maybe it was used in excess of the rating on the hitch? Maybe just a bad weld. Nothing I know of has a 0 percent failure rate.
Still a very nice well built hitch, not taking anything away from other manufacturers but I perfer the B&W

RE: Help with transfer tank.

I bought a aluminum diamond plate RDS and im very happy with it. It conects to the filler neck. It has a valve on the tank to shut it off. Mine is 45 gal and only takes up about 9" of bed space. Works as adverised. There is about 42 gal of useable tank. The rest is room for expansion I guess.

RE: older roof mount air conditioner

If you can pull it you probably can match it. It would most likely be 115 volt, double shaft, 3 speed motor. Match the frame size, amp draw, rotation and rpm. You will need a long allen to get the blower wheel off. I found mine at a local hvac supply house but you probably can get them online or at a local Grainger store.

RE: Best Replacement Battery

I personally do not like to Optimas but the Sears Die Hard platnum is made by Odessey and I think it's the best battery on the market but you will pay top dollar for it. JMO. If you dont want to spend the extra money I say stay with the Motorcraft battery's

RE: Educate a MH owner

I have owned both, currently a 5th. I would agree the work for set up is the same just diffrent. I do have auto leveling and would not be without it coming from a motorhome. The biggest thing I see is how you use it. If you do a lot of traveling over the road and stoping for the night a motorhome is best imo. For us we do alot of shorter trips, most averaging 200 miles or less and the the 5th works great for that. It gives us the room we need over a motorhome when we are camped. Both have there advanatages in diffrent areas.
Now for me on the road the 5th handles great and better than the gas coach I had, no sway in the wind or passing trucks at all and handles great ( motorhome was smoother ride). Mine is 42' and heavy though with 3 axles. I can not speek for a double axle 5th but I would think its the same. I get better mpg with my set up now. I had a V-10 got 6.5 mpg now I pull with a Duramax and get 9.2 mpg on average.
I dont know about tire cost, the tires are cheaper but on my rig I have a 3 axle trailer and a dually truck, 12 tires to replace so depends on what you get. I still have a genset to deal with. All of those issues depend on the 5th you get. I perfer to have it rather than not though.

RE: Slam Latches on Voltage

Lippert also list slam latches. I think they are made by Kinro though. I have a lot of Lippert products in my rv. Maybe they are the LCI componets latch. Maybe contact them?

RE: Slam Latches on Voltage

I think I found them here Slam Latches
Yea, I thought I struck gold when I found them as well. Yes, these are slam latches but not the same ones on the Voltage. The back side of the Voltage locks have an oval shape to them. All of the FIC locks pictured here are square and won't match up. I will get a photo up shortly.
I think mine are the "FIC Baggage Door Lock
(Locking, Standard Plunger Length)"
on this page. I changed one dutchman sent me under warranty, I still have it somewhere. The pic does not show the back though.

RE: How do you steer with your front wheels in the air?

A 3950 being pulled by a 3/4 ton thats crazy. Back road, emergency situation maybe but up on the highway not me, thats too much trailer for 3/4 ton. I'm barely within my axle weights on my dually with my 3795.
