ABS Signal on Fleetwood Fiesta

Driving today with ABS signal came on then went off again when we used the "drake break" going down a hill. Our manual is of no use. The ABS signal is now off. Any thoughts, we are between Yellowstone and Death Valley on 395?

RE: South Lake Tahoe to US 395 South

I have learned that the GPS (and we have two) are not necessarily the most accurate routes so I ask the locals...and Mr. Canada, there is no need for rudeness on this Forum, I merely ask people to give actual Route Numbers not local names with which travelers might not be familiar. BTW Route 50 is NOT the best route 88/89 is, route 50 includes a narrow tunnel and steep curves :-P

South Lake Tahoe to US 395 South

We are in South Lake Tahoe and want to travel east to get on US 395 to Lee Vining, CA then Death Valley. It looks like 89 over the mountains is the only route, we are in a 36ft Class A with toad, any one ever take this route? We came down from Reno over 50 and it wasn't too bad.

RE: How To Initiate a Recall?

Anyone else with Fleetwood Fiesta 34B appalled at the poor workmanship of the wood and veneers? $130,000 doesn't buy you much with Fleetwood!

How To Initiate a Recall?

We have a 2010 Fleetwood Fiesta 34B and the finish on all the drawers is flaking off, the manufacturers have ignored the issue from the beginning. Anyone know how to raise the issue and initiate a recall or inferior woodwork?

Recommend campground for a month stay

We leave Albuquerque early October to eventually get to Charleston, we have been on the road well over a year, 150 RV parks by then and we would like a NICE but reasonable RV park to spend a month or two out of the cold to take a rest and save some money before we head to Charleston to rent an apt/house. Looks like we can hit Mississippi, Alabama ,North Florida before we head up to SC. Any recommendations for long-term RV parks along that route?

East side of Lake Tahoe RV parks/Resorts

We will be coming down the east side of Lake Tahoe in a 36ft class A, two dogs and a toad, we would like to spend a couple nights in a good RV park with FULL hook-ups, we can do either 30 or 50 amps and so far we have yet to read a review of a camp that is encouraging. Can anyone offer a camp from experience...after 15 months on the road in some rugged terrain we are looking for comfort at this one. Many thanks.

We don't have chains. We are in a 36ft Class A trailing a Porsche Carerra convertable and have NO idea of driving them actually into the park

RE: Yosemite Park

Thanks for all your input...we have been on the road 15 months with 2 dogs and a parrot, plan to see Yosemite then Death Valley mid-September but we just can't figure out how to go from South Lake Tahoe to the WEST entrance of Yosemite then to the EAST entrance of Death Valley then head east to Grand Canyon by September 15th when we have reservations.

RE: Tahoe, Yosemite, Death Valley route

OK let's say we take I80 or 50 west, then how do we get into Yosemite Village? Do we come down 49? We prefer to find an RV park outside Yosemite, enter the park with our "toad" and take the guided tram around....it's much more enjoyable in these parks if you don't have to worry about driving and let the park Rangers give you the tour.

Yosemite Park

We are in a 36ft Class A with sports car toad and will be in South Lake Tahoe then would like to see Yosemite (about which we know nothing) Here are our specific questions:
1. Which is better and easier: entering the EAST or the WEST side of the park, we don't plan to actually camp in the park, just drive our toad in. A day, maybe two is the max we plan on spending.
2. What other than mountains is there to see in Yosemite, we've been in mountains for 5 months and they are beginning to all look the same by now. We prefer to avoid scary roads..vertigo here.
3.Any recommendations for RV parks, full hook-up, big rig friendly?
Many thanks. BTW not really interested in side trips, we are on a pretty tight schedule and can give Yosemite and Death Valley only two days each before we head east.

RE: Tahoe, Yosemite, Death Valley route

Dear Friends...AAA Trp-Tik route has us going from Reno to Sacramento on I80 then down via 99 to Merced and in Yosemite on 140 out on 41 to Fresno down 99 to Bakersfield then up to Death Valley on 190 through the park out 120 to 95 then down to Vegas, making all our approaches from the WEST.
On here we have been told to drive out of Reno to Carson city down to Tahoe then south on 395 going in to Yosemite on 120 then out 120 down to Bishop to 95 via 5 back in to Death Valley either via 257 Scotty's Castle or 374 then again south to Vegas, making all our approaches from the EAST.
As with the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone we do NOT want to drive the 36ft RV into the park and camp there, we prefer to have a nice full hook-up relaxing camp outside and enjoy driving through the parks in our sportscar toad.
Frankly after more than 15 months on the road we have seen all the mountains and cliffs to last a lifetime, we just want a day or two taste of each place then sit down for afternoon cocktails. Which route would you choose, or suggest a better one?

RE: Trip from Mount Rushmore to Grand canyon

Here is our route...Rawlins, WY, Salt Lake city, Reno, Tahoe, back in to Nevada, then Death Valley, then oof to I 40...love to do it as easily as possible, NO steep cliff roads, mountans, scary things, really not into side trips after a year plus I am sick of "scenic vistas." off the track.
