RE: Cost to repair Norcold?

Thanks so much. We ended up buying a cooling unit from nucold.com. Unfortunately it won't be here in time for us to leave for Williamsburg on Friday, but we will make do with a small household refrigerator that we have in our garage. Then comes the fun of us replacing the cooling unit lol.

Cost to repair Norcold?

We just got to our campsite for the weekend. I opened the fridge, and was immediately overwhelmed by the smell of ammonia. It's also not cooling. Googling has told me that rust has caused a leak. I shut off the fridge, unplugged it, and shut off the gas valve to it. Of course next week we're supposed to be going to Virginia for a week. What's an estimated cost to have this fixed? My local rv dealer has an hourly rate of $110. Would this fall under that rate, and how long does it take to fix? I'm not a happy camper right now. (see what I did there? Lol)

Can I screw into the side of a microwave?

The microwave in our TT doesn't work. It sits inside a cabinet specifically for it. I have a replacement, but I'm trying to figure out how to secure it. The old one is secured with a metal bracket that is screwed into the sides of the microwave, and then screwed into the face of the cabinet. It doesn't look like a specific "camper microwave," just a regular old Magic Chef. So I can just drill small holes into the new one and secure it the same way, right? (Assuming I make sure I'm not screwing through anything electrical.) We don't have anywhere to mount it under a cabinet, otherwise I'd just do that.
