RE: Starter Capacitor - Air Conditioner

I also had to replace mine, it was a dual (fan & compressor) 15/50 MF. I also carry a spare. It was just under $20 bucks. I hope this helps, Bill

RE: Toilet Leak...HELP

The water valve would be my guess, try and use a mirror if it is not visable from the front and see if that is your leak.

RE: I-75 Travel

I just went through there on Friday (4/19/13) the roads were fine. Don't worry about the grade, just use common sense and you will be fine. It is NOT a big deal, I have travelled it 20+ times and find the scenery beautiful!

RE: How to keep critters from using sewer hose opening

There is a "seal" that you can buy, I saw it in the FMCA mag. I think it was called "critter guard"

Keyless entry problem

I have a 2003 Newmar MADP that has the keyless entry that has a keypad located just rear of the door. I statrted making a "buzz/hum" noise about 2 weeks ago. I pulled the 12V fuse and it stopped the noise, I thought maybe it had got wet after a rain?, we have had sun on the door area that now I don't think that caused the problem?? It works fine, locking and unlocking, just makes the buzz/hum noise when the fuse is installed. I have had the fuse pulled for 2 weeks hoping it was damp/wet causing the problem. Any help? Thanks, Bill

RE: pulling a car trailer with class a

Sorry but you do not provide much information like, what motorhome and chassis, size of trailer, weight and weight capacity of trailer, enclosed or open trailer, what you are planning to haul on/in the trailer, the weight of the "cargo" that you are planning to haul and the hitch's weight capacity along with the chassis manufacturers weight capacity rating. These are ALL things that need to be addressed BEFORE buying or HAULING anything. I hope this helps some, Bill
Sorry if this is off the topic a bit!

RE: Rear Radiator vs Side on Diesel Pusher?

"You might want to get a price quote on those tires, expect them to be around $450 each"
More like $700.00 each. Also I like the table better than the booth, at first we thought we wouldn't like it but now (just us 2) like the chairs better. I hope this helps some, Bill

RE: Installing PlexiGlass on TT Screen Door

I took off my screen door (12 screws on 3 hinges) and took it to a boat top and automobile convertable top/upohlstery shop. They made a 2 section, top and bottom, snap on/off Issign glass (spelling?) panels. The cost was $75.00. The flexible vinyl panels can be rolled up and stored and weigh way less than plexiglass. Makes on and off way easier than the hard plastic!

RE: Rear Radiator vs Side on Diesel Pusher?

On whatever coach you chose side radiator and slide out generator allows for much easier inspection and repairs and can save you on repair costs over tiime.
X2 I was thinking about this issue after I posted my response, Bill

RE: Rear Radiator vs Side on Diesel Pusher?

The Dutch Star, a Newmar product, is a better built product than the Allegro, a Tiffin product. Compare the electrical panel where most of the junctions are made. Compare the utility bay. You will see the difference. The Tiffin product, because of its build, can suffer from structural failure through delamination, as you found in the bedroom. The Newmar, because it is built differently, will never fail.

RE: Rear Radiator vs Side on Diesel Pusher?

Mine has a side and it allows access to the engine for maintainence or repairs. The ones I have seen with the rear radiators made me wonder how someone can access the engine bay?

RE: 2000 Signature hydraulic fluid

Mine is also AW46 but I have seen DexronIII used in other coaches. My "black tank" like yours is labeled from the factory AW46. It is a yellow lable, maybe your is covered with dirt?

RE: Purchase from NorthTrail RV Is this a title issue ?

I have been to Northtrail several times 6-7 years ago and looked at used higher end coaches. I got several different prices from different sales people for the same units. Different "stories" about condition, time on lot, previous owners etc. I bought from a private owner. I didn't care for them!

Below is one of the parts dealers for Evanstempcon. You cannot by parts direct from Evans if I am correct? I needed a part a long time ago, I think I got it from here......

As I recall your dash A/C and dash heater is supplied by EvansTempcon. Do a search for Evans Tempcon or Evanstempcon. NOT a Ford or Winnebago part. I hope this helps, Bill
