RE: Running generator in the Rain

Here's the tent I made for my 2000w Honda.I used 1x3 joined in center with hinges and sharpened the 1x3 to drive in ground.Guess I could string on each end to keep it tight.Work great and folds up nicely for east storage.
I like that, does the job, easy to put up, easy to store, so it is available when needed. I was thinking about some type of PVC frame with a tarp, but this sounds like it would store easier.

Running generator in the Rain

What suggestions do you have for running a generator in the rain. I saw on youtube some guy using a small pup-tent. I was thinking of some type of frame with a tarp covering it and the generator sitting inside.
Also, I am assuming it is safe for some moisture (e.g mist, dew, etc.) to get to the generator (e.g. doesn't have to be 100% water proof); is that a safe assumption?

RE: These campers were very well prepared

Looks like a case to be made with the DW for double towing.

RE: Water pressure regulator - do they really work?

Not sure I understand how some folk can leave the big heavy regulator on the spigot and drive off, which from what I can tell reading messages is one of the reasons they mount at the camper end.
Just put in an order for a H560G and was reading an online manual. The manual had the following suggestion... Just kind of smiled when reading it, might give it try.
However, it is important to first screw the supply end of the hose to the outlet end of the regulator using a pipe wrench to tighten it onto the hose coupling, making it almost impossible to remove by hand. In this way when leaving and rolling up the hose, the regulator won't be forgotten because it has become a permanent part of the hose.

RE: Water Pressure Regulator - Cal prop 65

I figured it was some out-of-wack regulation. Just kind of suprised me and wanted to make sure I was ordering the right thing. Thanks!!
EDIT: just a FYI, I was playing with that store site, if you clear the product criteria then you will get a full list of regulators. There are only a couple of regulators where the footnote about prop 65 applies ( H560G is not one them). Anyways, I ordered one, if it kills me I'll let you know :)

Water Pressure Regulator - Cal prop 65

I was about to order this Watts Water Pressure Regulator. When I added it to my cart it popped up a prompt in to determine if I was a California resident. Also, noticed the foot note at the bottom of the page. Anybody know what this is about?
*1: California Proposition 65 This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
*2: California Proposition 65 This product contains a product known to the State of California to cause cancer.

RE: TT Wholesalers

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with your local RV shop performing warranty repairs. What is the RV Manufacturer's process in terms of warranty repairs? Do they care who does it as long as required documentation is met?
Reason I ask, the local RV shop I use advertises that they do warranty work. Thinking about either a Evergreen or Jayco. Just would be a lot easier going to my local RV shop VS driving clear across town into Dallas or Fort Worth. Plus, it would open up a lot of options in terms of purchase. I'm pretty comfortable with my local RV shop, just wondering if they would get the run-around with the RV Manufacturer.
