RE: Intelligent oil life monitor. Do you follow this?

Funny this was posted and I just recieved a notice from GM stating my oil life monitoring system needs an update!
+ This update will recommend more frequent oil changes to support engine durability and overall operating costs.
Seems like just a fun app that measures engine temperature, RPM, run time to give an estimate on what the oil life should be. I will be sticking to milage.
I have been changing every 5,000 non towing miles and indicator usually around 30%
Good mechanic/engineer buddy stated full synthetic is a must if going to 5,000 mile intervals, but dont skimp on the filter, thats the weak point for most overlook.

RE: Our new TT

Congratulations! I loved my Shadow Cruiser 280, nothing but compliments to Cruiser on the build quality and features offered on their entry level trailer. I can’t wait for spring and to get camping. Damn WI winters.

RE: Camping fever

Camper Fever! Only cure is more camping. Traded our camper in Jan also due to the huge savings. Now I have all our camping supplies in our basement. Scheduled to pick up our new TT May 1st. Hard to imagine that day when the high was 7° today here in WI. To supress my camper fever symptoms I have been keeping up on the forums and have most of our trips booked. Enjoy your new trailer!

RE: Pulled the trailer out today...........

In Madison we just had our camper show and I have camping fever like you wouldn't believe! We have had some amount of snow accumulation every day for the past week. I have a brand new trailer sitting at our dealer and I can wait to go pick it up, nothing more exciting than loading up a new trailer.

RE: Shadow Cruiser 313BHS

Not yet! Dropping off my trade-in on sat. Slightly sad seeing her go, in just one season we have had a lot of memories. Should have bought the 313BHS from the start, I knew I was going to have slidout envy!

Shadow Cruiser 313BHS

Well on Saturday trading in our 280QBS for a 2013 313BHS! Wasnt going to do it but couldnt walk away from the price, only $1500 more then I paid for the 280. Bad news is one I have to get one owner to move his motorcoach so I can get my current trailer out of the barn. Second I paid for indoor storage I wont be needing. And third I now have cabin/camper fever and its only Jan here in WI! The only cure is more camping! Hope all of you had a great holiday, see you out there in about 120 days.

RE: Shadow Cruiser Travel Trailer

We had our 28QBS for a season and loved it. Cant beat build quality, and options for their entry level trailer. My wifes opinion is the interior fabric quailty and design much more desirable than other manufactures. I hear this is because Cruiser is also owned by Double Tree who manufacturers high end 5th wheels. I did get new axels and tires do to a recall by Lippert who makes chaises for many TT builders. Shadow Cruiser is an ultraligh
t so keep in mind ceiling height is only 6'4". If I was talle then 6 ft I would find it a little tight. With all this said I just (on Sat) trading in my 280QBS for the 313BHS! Great time to buy, only paid $1500 more for much more trailer.

RE: 2013 Cruiser Rv-Shadow Cruiser 260BHS

Have the 280QBS have 20 plus nights. Looked at every brand in the Madison area and by far the best layout and quality for the money. Some of the units we toured the floors were saggy. Only problem had was one of the back drawer latches mis aligned, dealer fixed on the spot. Always perfer to by local over mega dealers may pay slightly more but can't beat customer service. Second dry weights are useless, look at gross. I dont want to worry about what I can and shouldn't bring.

Plumbing issue?

New TT, used 5 times and only recently noticed the following.
When dumping the black and gray tanks my hot and cold winterization lines drip. Upon further inspection doesnt appear to be leaking from the fittings but further up above inclosed belly, and is fresh water. Side note hooked up not using the fresh water tank. Is this normal? If so why doesnt it drip/ leak all weekend while hooked up?

Water Leaking from hot & cold water drain during dumping?

Last two times during the dumping of my gray and black water I noticed water driping from underneath where the cold and hot water winterization drains. Hooked up whole time with no leaking. Smells like fresh water, not leaking from the fittings but higher up above closed underbody. Plumbing issue or is this normal?
