RE: Wdw8 down to Wdw7 in laptop

Monkey44,
Good luck to you and I hope you are able to revert to Win7. You obviously can not make the jump to win8. I won't either until I have no other choice.

RE: movie projector to use for outdoor movies

I doubt you will find a projector powerful enough to run on 12 volts. It takes a powerful lamp to project out to a screen. JMO.

RE: Wdw8 down to Wdw7 in laptop

Others on here have noted that the windows 8 update will only create the start button but once you click on it you go back to the apps screen. Forget about windows 8 and install windows 7. You should be able to get the drivers from Microsoft website.

RE: New to this forum-Hurricane 34B

Johno02,
I'm sorry you lost your Xena. They are unique dogs and do become an important part of a family. I do like the idea of table and chairs instead of the booth. It makes the area look larger.

RE: New to this forum-Hurricane 34B

Johno02,
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I see you have a greyhound in your "family". We have two ourselves. I like the revisions you made but I couldn't do without at least one slide. I have been looking at the Hurricane models also and was glad to see some input on them.

RE: Looks Perfect for Fullimers

I liked everything from the kitchen forward. The "hallway" to the bedroom looks a little narrow and the bedroom was nice but still a little crowded to me. I agree about the rear lights. Otherwise, nice rig. I really like the two opposing slides in the living area.

RE: browning avocados

If you make an avocado dip, place a piece of plastic wrap over the bowl but make sure the plactic is touching the dip, thus sealing out air and it won't turn brown. Worked for me.

Depends on your personal needs. It's hard to judge on something without more information. In the end it is your choice.

RE: Laptop computer

So, you buy an item with software you don't like or want and then you start looking for ways to defeat it. Just sayin'

RE: Laptop computer

If you don't have a touchscreen on the laptop or desktop, there isn't much sense in getting win8. You can load win 7 on the new machines in place of the win 8 software.

RE: Need help Windows Vista

Do both computers have the same name and are they connected via network? Maybe the first one you set up is the "administrator" and the second one is subordinate to the first. I don't know for sure as I never had Vista but maybe this is of some help.

Yup, but for all the extra work they aren't any better than properly doctored canned beans.

RE: Baked Beans Recipies

I find it interesting that the OP asked for bean recipes that didn't involve canned beans. At least that is the way I interpreted it and yet all but two posters gave recipes with canned beans. Doesn't anyone know how to make a bean recipe without using canned beans. Just sayin'.

RE: AVG free, not free?

I will stick with AVG. I have run the free version for many years with no problems and yes, it does catch viruses. It is still free on CNET downloads which is one of the safest sites to download any software. JMO FWIW.

RE: Campfire meals for kids ~ Ideas please :)

Here is a breakfast one that might help.
Omelet for a Crowd
6 large eggs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
re-seal able plastic freezer bags - one for each person
Add-Ins (all are optional):
Shredded Cheddar
Crumbled feta
Shredded mozzarella
Cooked and crumbled bacon
Cooked and crumbled sausage
Diced ham
Chopped bell peppers
Chopped spinach
Diced red onion
Diced tomatoes
Sautéed sliced mushrooms
Sliced black olives
In a medium mixing bowl whisk together eggs, salt, and pepper. Divide and pour the egg mixture into re-seal able plastic bags. Let each person add their desired add-ins.
Boil a large pot of water and drop in the sealed omelet bags. Simmer the bags for 5 to 8 minutes. Remove bags from the water with tongs and drain them on a paper towel lined plate.
Allow to cool slightly before handling. Open the bags and pour the cooked omelet out onto a plate.
