charging 12v coach Batt.

I have two 12v coach batt. I want to keep a maintenance charge on them. If I hook up Positive on one batt and Neg. on the other will this charge both batteries?
A buddy of mine says this will work, I am skeptical.

RE: 1999 v10 engine rattle

I have checked for shields etc. It happens when I press the pedal under load above 2500 rpm and 60mph when I take my foot off the pedal it goes away after a second.

1999 v10 engine rattle

My v10 has a rattle that starts above 2500 rpm, at 50 mph or above, almost sounds like a small marble in a can, sometimes it is louder than others but is always there. the moho has 75,000 carefree miles and performance dosen't seem to be effected, but it is loud enough to be a annoying, any suggestions?

RE: Northern Vermont (North Troy/Newport Area)

I grew up in Derby/Newport and this should fit your bill. The link is
http://www.newportvermont.org/proutycamp.htm
Prouty Beach campground is on Lake Memphremagog, it is owned by the city of Newport. The campground over looks the lake and the city. Very nice. While you are there stop by The Landing restaurant Very good food

RE: Moosehead Lake, Maine

I agree with mainetom, we stay at lily bay state park a couple times a year and it is beautiful. Be aware no hookups, good dump station and new clean bath house. You will have to pick and choose if you have a big rig 32 ft.+ and expect to have branches brush by your roof (mostly soft branch ends no widow makers)Very quite and you will see wild life (moose, deer, etc. If you are lucky you will get a waterfront site and enjoy great sunsets. Check out Maine state parks web site for more info.

RE: Hankook tires

I have had Hankooks on two motor homes and can't say enough about them. I have put over 60,000 miles between both motor homes and they are all you have said and more.
Mine are the AH-11's and they are a very good value!

RE: Montreal to Bangor

This is the route we used (going in the opposite direction) last summer. Pretty scenery, and we saw a moose! I don't know if it qualifies for "mostly" in Canada, but it is a nice route.
Montreal to Bangor
Have a great trip!
I highly second the above route.
I have traveled this route many times in our motor home and it is a very pretty drive. Over the past few years they have improved some of the roads, but beware short sections are quite rough.
The drive from Quebec City down into maine on rt.201 is also very nice. From the border down to Skowhegen is very rural and scenic. Keep your eyes open for Moose they can and will appear out of nowhere and you do not want to hit one!
Enjoy

Garden State Parkway Height restrictions?

Anyone know actual height restrictions on the GSP. I tried to find online to no avail. My height is 11'8" and would give this route a try, instead of GWB or 287 around NYC.

RE: adding weight on f-53 bounder

My rear end rides nice and high even with full tank of water and gas, so this would give little to no relief. This is a no slide unit so my weight is low to begin with. I guess I'm leaning toward adding some weight to the front and see how it goes. My other option I have in mind is to add air bags to front, to see if this takes some of the harshness out. I can buy them for $260 per pair and install myself. My concern adding bags is that it is just adding more stiffness to an already stiff front end or can I adjust pressure lower and it acts like a cushion?

RE: adding weight on f-53 bounder

patnchris,
that is our set-up...gas, water tanks and gen set in the back, waste in front of axle.
If we carry half tank of water and full tank of gas and all four of us riding on the dash with our faces against the windshield the ride is more tolerable.
I have to say the handling is very good, I have never had a problem with control issues , it is the rough front suspension that gets tiresome.
I checked out the Mor-ryde system and it is interesting.

RE: adding weight on f-53 bounder

Wolfe10,
The weights you see are with heavy stuff moved forward. We just don't carry a lot of stuff with us. I hate, hate, hate to add weight because I am a tight wad when it comes to mileage, but DW is sick of the rough ride, and if she is not happy I'm not happy.
