RE: Towing Shouldn't Be This Difficult - Help Needed

How much air pressure are you running in your tires? D rated are bad but under inflated D's are a lot worse for wandering. I would also check your air pressure. My low air pressure light comes on at 63lbs in the rear. I usually run about 75lbs when towing.

RE: We have mice....

We had a mouse last year.It got in through the power cord opening.Didn`t know he was in there until we took him camping one weekend with us. The wife and I figured it out but we didn`t dare tell the teenage girls. The wife left water in the sink overnight and the next morning I reached into the sink to drain it. Guess what I pulled out instead of the drain plug? You guessed correctly. The dead bloated mouse. And yes it caught me off guard and I yelled "Holly Sh*t"! I used to keep power hooked to it all the time at home. Not anymore. But when I do I always make sure nothing is getting in through the cord opening. We`ve been mouse free ever since.Kind of a long story, but it was really funny. At least the wife thought so.

RE: How to answer husbands question on EB

Get a 250 or 2500. Upgraded my 08 1500 ram to a 2500 HD Silverado. My dry weight is 6600lbs. Much better!

RE: Aftermarket tow mirrors

That`s where I got the mirrors for my Chevy. They look and work great. Just a little vibration at highway speeds.

RE: RAM 1500 Towing Capacity

I had a 2007 QC 1500 4x4 Hemi Ram. My TT is 6600 dry. Well over 7000lbs once loaded. We had 2 adults,2 kids,a gas grill and a load of firewood. It was very bouncy. Well I now have a 2008 Chevy 2500 HD crew 4x4.

RE: age

At 43 the wife and I decided we were going to try camping with a tt. Never camped much as an adult. So we decided it was time to get the teenage daughter and ourselves outside. The daughter wasn`t real impressed with this idea. No internet are you kidding me.This is going to be our 3rd season in our tt and she can`t wait to get back and see her camping friends. We`re hooked!

RE: Bought a new Trailer...can't get hot water

Might want to read your owners manual front to back before heading out. Lots of real good information!

RE: Towing with a 6.0L 2500HD

I have a 2008 2500HD crew 4x4 with 3.73 rear. My tt is over 7500lbs loaded. It pulls it fine. I really like the Chevy 2500HD,it`s a great truck.

RE: Engine Sizes

My 08 GMC work van has the 4.8l in it. I have it loaded down with equipment and tools. It doesn`t have much get up and go. We`re getting newer vans with the 5.3 now. They could run circles around my van. Unless your pulling a popup,I wouldn`t do it!I almost forgot to mention the crappy MPG`s I`m getting because it`s so underpowered. 12mpg!

RE: Towing concerns

That is also the dry weight of my trailer.I traded my 07 1500 Hemi Quad cab with 3.92 rear for a 2500HD Chevy crew. Had plenty of power to pull it.But once everything was loaded the ride got really bouncy.2 adults 2 teenagers and a half bed of firewood plus a loaded up camper. Made the dodge really squat.

RE: Electric brake question

The built in electric brake control in the 2500HD works great. Have it in my 08. You can`t even tell it`s back there while braking.

I put the aftermarket towing mirrors on my 08 2500 crew. My original mirrors didn`t have the turn signals. My aftermarket mirrors do and they work.

Way to heavy for a 1/2 ton! I hope that isn`t the dry weight?
