14" tires

Gettin ready to replace the tires on my 2005 Starcraft Antigua. It has 205/75/14's on it. I know Maxxis is the best ST tire but expensive. I haven't heard much good about the Carlisle tires especially on heavy trailers but they are affordable and readily available. My trailer weighs right at 5000 lbs empty and we pack lightly. I'm only gonna keep the trailer about another year. What are you guys running?

RE: Reese SC Weight Distribution w Sway Control

Agree with the above posters. I have had my SC for 4 years and no problems. Very quiet and never unhook until the trailer is in place. I tow a 32' TT with a Dodge 1500.

RE: Stone Mountain Georgia

Modern Family, we are also in the Tampa area, how long did it take you to get there?

Stone Mountain Georgia

Made reservations today for mid July. We will be in one of the red loops, #277 to be exact. I haven't been in about 20 years. Have heard that some of the sites are not level. Any other cons or pros to this CG? Thanks

RE: Cylcone 4200 - Does it exist?

The holdup is either in engineering or in the patent process. But supposedly it's like nothing we've ever seen before in a TH. One rumor is that the rear door lifts up to the roof like the NASCAR haulers do.

RE: General tires are JUNK!!!!!

IMO, getting 50-60k miles out of any tire on a 3/4 ton and up truck is pretty darn good :h any more miles is a bonus!

RE: Holmans

The more competition, the better, for the buyer. If the local dealer comes within 2-3k of Holmans Ohio then ill buy locally. Saves a lot of gas money! I still have a little while yet before I buy so hopefully they'll all be fighting for my business! :B

RE: Holmans

Everything that I've read and heard about them has been good. My FIL drove from Washington State to Holmans to pick up his Voltage.

RE: Holmans

It will be interesting to see how the territorial rights play out. Between Lazy Days and Camping World in the same area most of the major brands are already represented.

Holmans

As a future TH buyer, we are stoked to hear about Holmans expansion plans!! Sorry I don't have the link. We live in the Tampa/Seffner area, one of the proposed new locations. The story I read didn't offer much detail other than the new cities. San Francisco and Slidell Louisiana are two others that I can remember.

RE: Anyone check out the Vengeance TH?

I talked to a factory rep at the Tampa show. Supposedly FR hired the guy who designed the Voltages and Raptors I believe. If so, look for big things from the Vengeance lineup in the next few years. Major changes were made for this years lineup, but they still have a ways to go. I was impressed with the lineup and at great prices too.

RE: Opinions on Heartland Torque lineup

We looked at the torque th's at the Tampa show in January. It's a no frills TH but we were very impressed with what we saw, especially for the price.

RE: Argh....Search Continues

Wow, we were all over the cyclones, but maybe that's why we didn't see the Infernos lol, if in fact they were even there

RE: Argh....Search Continues

Hey Dusky I didn't see any Infernos, they must have been hidden really well! We were impressed by the Torque 325, didn't have all the bells and whistles but still very nice and a great price

RE: Just Picked Up a New Cyclone 4100 King

Congrats, that's an awesome rig! Looked real hard at it at the Tampa show last week. It's definitely what the soon to be wife really likes!

RE: Towing with an Armada?

See pic in my profile. I no longer have the Armada, traded for Ram 1500. My RV has a dry weight of 5000 lbs. I didnt want any more weight behind it. Power wise the Armada was ok, just not very stable. We pack lightly and at the time were a family of 4. Get a good weight distribution hitch!

RE: Tampa RV Show 2013

Totally agree, Lazy Days and CW were the major players there. And just the one Seismic th was a little disappointing

RE: Tampa Super Show....

I believe it's the 376 we are interested in. The bath and a half model. Holmans has them in inventory and plenty of pics. Much improved.
