RE: Gettysburg area - what to see / do?

we go there quite often and have taken the grandkids, they love it. we take bikes and ride thru the battlefield, really great. you have to see the new rotundra, its is magnificent. we have stayed at artillery ridge and rode the horse path over to the battlefield. we have done ghost tours in the evening and they are great.

RE: Has anyone replaced a Trimark door latch B4 it broke

Camper Ken: Go to the Trimark website, click on Handles, then click on Paddle and then look up 060-1625/060-1650 and see photo--this is the newer stronger version. Then look up 060-650 and see photo--this is the older model. Not much difference except for the area around the bolt keyhole. There have been some horror stories about people stuck outside their RV and some stuck inside their RV when the 60-650 broke so I am replacing mine this week even though it has worked so far. We are planning on a 2 month trip to AK in June and with my luck, it'll break somewhere in the Yukon where there are no replacement parts. ---a friend of mine is on his 3rd lock in 5 years, and he said it is of the same metal as the old ones. the lock is a little bigger and takes a little work to get it installed. he had to notch out his screen door to be able to twist the lock levers

RE: Has anyone replaced a Trimark door latch B4 it broke

just a note, if the screws are too tight , the key might be hard to turn. i just bought an old style lock off of ebay fror 39.00,. it comes with no keys, but i removed the back plate and drilled and tapped the holes for machine screws, to be able to change the key cylinders with my original keys, if my lock should fail.

RE: Android Tablets?

Thanks Folks, Now I am back to the 7", I think my wife will be able to handle it better, and we do have a notetbook 12". So looks like the Galaxy 7", now is it the 16GB or the 32GB. Comments welcome.. Any reason why you're set on the Samsung? I have both a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" and a Nexus 7 and like the Nexus better due to it's higher resolution screen, faster processor and newer Android OS version. Don't let the absence of an SD card slot on the Nexus 7 be the determining factor. That is easily solved with an OTG cable that will allow you to connect thumb drives, SD cards, external hard drives, etc... The SD card slot on the Samsung is slightly misleading since it is only usable to store data (pictures, video, etc...), apps cannot be installed on the SD card so the more internal memory you have, the better. ****i have a 7" galaxy, and i have moved a lot of my apps onto the sd card Having said that, both my 7" tablets have only 8G internal memory and I have lots of apps installed with memory to spare.

RE: Extending my wifi and my broadband.

For wifi I have been using this for years, if the signal is really bad I use the outdoor antenna strapped to my ladder, easy to set up, but not really cheap, but it works...... wifi clicky The repeater in the kit looks like a WRT 54g from Linksys. A very common router and easy to download software to it to turn it into a repeater. Software is free and you can get a used router for less than $20 on eBay. That would be much cheaper than paying $89 for the one with the kit. Just Google it to learn how. do those routers have a usb connection or is there an adapter to convert to usb

RE: RV Direct Fine Print

well i ordered mine from rvdirect ,and when it came in i went up to inspect it and thor had changed our solid surface counter top ,which we paid an extra 700.00 for, to one with the sink above the solid surface which was not like that in the brochure or other new units we looked at. of course thor said they have it written in the fine print that they can change anything they want to, so we had to take it and problaly would have had to go to the factory to do battle. they did make some other changes which were for the better, so we left it at that. they did send me new sink inserts out of the same amterial, but they had to lay on top. it was a 10 hour trip for us , so we never went back. rv direct did everything like they said.

RE: Gray water tank smaller than advertised

Since the 2011 brochure says gray 44 and black 32, I bet someone just transposed the numbers and it was missed on the final proofread. Seems it has not been corrected for 2013. no there isn't any bait and switch, they n o what their doing right from the start. thor does a lot of false advertising and they get away with it claiming its in the print that theyu can change anything they want.....b.s.
