RE: dish network help

We got the Hopper and Joey for our RV. The Sat Dish is mounted on a small frame We sit it outside on ground. We had to get the Azmith, Skew and degrees from a local dealer here in. Quartzsite. The biggest problem with Dish is it uses 3 sattelites. Once the the skew and Azimith are set they shouldn't change. Then it is a matter of linning up the dish with a compass or handheld GPS. it can be frustrating but did it last night and it took about 30 minutes and had it up and working fine. Good luck.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Well actually been over the past week. Wife had a corner cabinet in bedroom with a sink in it. Was really hard to get around to get in and out of bed. So I took it out as the bathroom is only about 3 feet from it. Got it out and decided since I had hot and cold water to install an outdoor sower kit. Got that done took out the pocket door and reinforced the wall to install a new wall mount tv. Finished that task put in new wall, havn't finished the trim yet but will b4 long. Next task was to find out why I had know power to my GFCI in bath and exterior. I installed it upside down the first time. Works now. Then took out a pull out hamper in bath and built in shelves for towells instead. Took today off to have lunch with Daughter and Boyfriend. They told us she is PG. Oh Well there at least 21 and both work so good luck. Next is too reseal several windows. Take rear AC unit and Put it up front and put in a vent in rear. Would have had this all done awhile ago but here in the Puget sound it has rained since November. Got to finish all of this by end of month as we will be leaving to start going south getting to Q by around 1st of Nov.:B Would liked to have had all this done

RE: Any full timers winter in WA or OR

Hi ontheroad, I will give my feelings on this. I have lived in Wa most of my life. We began full timing over 3 years ago and this last winter we got stuck here in Olympia. Have had rain almost constantly since Nov. Today 2nd day of Summer and it is rainy and maybe upper 50's. Have electric heater on. This last winter we had several days of snow, some pretty severe wind storms and so on. We will begin heading South the 1st part of Sept., Gettin to Quartzsite AZ around 1st part of Nov. Good luck and hope to see ya on the Road. BJ

RE: Woodpeckers driving us nuts

If its a Gilla Woodpecker, you might try putting out a Humminbird feeder, They love to hang off of them for the nectar, That is what they get from the Cactus, Also atrracts hummies which are very territorial and will chase them off through the day.:W

RE: Help! getting rid of ants

If these are tiny ants they could very well be Argentene ants. We got an infestation in our MH at a county park in Cali. The problem is this is one of the only ants that has more than one Queen. I had to take everything out of every compartment, cupboards, closets ect. Used several cans of raid, Two gallons of Home Defense, and a couple bottles of tarro. Was cleaning up dead ants for about 6 weeks. Every night I would have to vaccum off the bed as they would fall through the seams of the ceiling. Swept up dust pans full. There colonies range in size of upto a million or more. Good luck. BJ:E
