RE: No power climbing a hill from dead stop

First I will say that I am not familiar with the throttle on your coach. If it is drive by wire, with the aid of an assistant, can you watch the throttle lever at the injection pump and see if it is going wide open when assistant mashes foot throttle? You may be able to do this with the switch on and the engine not running. If it doesn't move, try test with engine running and trans in neutral. CAUTION; make sure it is in neutral and the assistant is someone you can trust not to do anything stupid.

RE: Accumulator and water pressure

Goulds (well pump systems) says to precharge tanks 2 to 3 psi lower than pump cut-in pressure. This is with no pressure on the water side. This gives maximun drawdown.

RE: 5.9L 6TB cummins 12v, Crankshaft

Is this the same engine that overheated about this time last year? If it is, I think that I would be looking for a good used takeout to replace it.
Sorry for your bad luck.

RE: Detroit Diesel 671 fuel issues

Could be low fuel, hole rusted in pickup pipe in tank, leak in fuel line, line pluged, filter gasket not sealing. Your fuel pump will not pump air. You have to find a means to force fuel through it to reprime. Some buses have wide tanks. If it is parked on a slope, with low fuel level, it will suck air.
What kind of bus?

RE: Revcon Class A

Dave,
I enjoyed reading your drivetrain description. I am curious about something. Does the Dana 70 have u-joints or cv joints at the wheel ends? I would guess cv.

RE: Water pump shuts off for several minutes then restarts??

If you have one of the Shruflo Extremeâ„¢ Smart Sensorâ„¢ 4.0 or 5.7 pumps, I seem to recall reading on this forum that they are prone to failure.

RE: A different residential refer question

Don't mean to be rude, but if you use the forum search feature, you will find dozens of posts on this subject.
I have a Summit 8.8 cubic ft fridge powered by an 1100 watt Exeltech PSW inverter. The compressor pulls 0.9 amps @ 122 volts AC (approx. 110 watts) measured with a high end Fluke 187 meter wired in series. I have never attempted to measure the defrost amp draw.
Would never go back to a propane fridge.

RE: Fried A/C, 2 TV's and micro wave-my fault or electricians.

I cant understand the "nastiness" some seem to exhibit! The guy made a mistake and as often as we see this issue on here, why would it be so surprising to anyone? Im sure if this electrician has done work for you before and he is, in fact, a friend.....he will step up to the plate and take care of business. Good luck.
Heck, since he obviously put in a two poll breaker (2/30), when he comes back out to make the repair and pay for the damages, have him add one more wire and put in the regular 50 amp outlet, matching your plug on the MH(wired correctly...2 hots, a neutral and a ground) then you'll have (2) 30 amp 110 volt for a total of 60 amps to your MH.
Please, do not have the electrician do this! The wire installed for a 30A/120V plug is not sized correctly for a 50A/120/120 plug. The wire size is wrong.
I have a 50 amp rv receptable wired in the above manner with 10/4 wire and fused with 30 amp fuses. Has worked fine for several years.

RE: cig smell removal how

I read that too much ozone exposure would damage rubber and maybe vinyl. One could end up with far worse problems than bad smell.
Does anyone know if this is true?

RE: Front Wheel Won't Spin

my guess is that the s-cam is rusted/frozen in its pivot. Try pounding on the clevis, toward the can, with a heavy hammer. Use a block of wood to prevent marring the clevis.

RE: For Folks Who Believe Deep Cycle Batteries Cannot Have CCA

Mex
My question is, what is the total cranking amps of multiple batterys, say six GC2, wired series/parallel for 12 volts? I do not know the rated cranking amps. Assume 700 amps each, for purpose of discussion.
thanks

RE: head replacement on rockwood - should i keep or scrap?

All my book says is that compression in lowest cylinder should be at least 75 percent of the highest cylinder.
Is an 89 efi or carbed? If carb, I would forget it or swap in an efi engine.

RE: RV cost versus your net worth?

Thanks to everyone that replied.
The percentage numbers were much lower than I expected.
It appears that there are some extremely wealthy individuals amongst us. I would estimate in the range of five to twenty million dollars.
(example: .03 X 5,000,000=150,000)
I think I best stay on the porch, lest I get trampled by the big dogs.

RV cost versus your net worth?

I know this is beyond tacky, but I will ask anyway.
If you add up every dollar you have spent on rv'ing including initial price of the rv, rv insurance, maintance, fuel, tires, batterys, and camping fees and divide by your estimated net worth before taxes, what is the percentage?
For those that have had several rv's, just count your present one.
Complete the math and only post the percent. I do not want to know what your rv cost or your estimated net worth.
Anybody game?
I am at approximately seven percent. (0.07)

RE: New Tires & Dual Spacing

I 2nd what fcooper said.
In case you don't know what dual spacing means, it is the measurement from center of tread to center of tread on the duals as mounted on the vehicle.
