RE: rental trailer

So all of that CW bashing for something that wasn't their fault is what it looks like to me. Ron sorry, seems strange because the manufacturer does warranty work by the VIN number so how could there be confusion? Really easy: we're all human.;) I suppose than when the dealer stated they rented it for one event , than they were mistaken. I guess i would have called the manufacturer myself with the vin number and checked .

RE: Customer Service

not to defend CW but I bought a brand new Airstream 3 years ago paid just under 80,000, when I picked it up I asked the tech what the tire pressure was and he said, I dont know lets go find out . and this is a very reputable Airstream dealer.

RE: rental trailer

what technically is a demo unit? why would this not apply to most every RV a dealer has on his lot that people can traipse through? does it say some place that it has to be taken to a show? how many days? etc. bumpy technically every trailer at a show is a demo unit, but trailers that remain on the lot would not qualify, anymore than cars on a car lot would be demo units, unless its an employee used that vehicle for his own use as part of his salary package, confused yet? even though the employee used the vehicle it would still transfer the new car warranty to the next owner, now if the dealership rented that car than it would not necessarily be covered by the manufacturer it it could be determined that the warranty item wore out prematurely due to it being a rental. With that said even a new car warranty will not cover the original owner it the vehicle has been abused or altered.

RE: rental trailer

I Bought a Demo unit in 2010, it was used by Forest River for the Tampa show in 2010 to show off the new 36re touring edition and everything that went wrong was paid for by Forest River under the warranty, even if you bought a used trailer it would still have been covered by the existing warranty for the remainder of the warranty period, however warranty is void on rental units, if rented to a year or 1 day a rental is just that. CW should take the unit back or just hire any atty. they will prevail in your favor, as long as your sale agreement does not state prior rental. As far as selling you a used unit they are also at fault unless it was disclosed, a demo unit is not a rental, CW under there supervision, take the unit to a show a rental is under the control of a 3rd party. Good luck, personally I would have already called a lawyer.

RE: Mountaineer vs Dutchman

looked at infinity last year front livingroom model and Montana's a few weeks ago. if I had to choose it would be montana, seemed to be better built and after talking to a few people at fort wilderness last year that had the infinity would probably stay away from Dutchman.

RE: Redwood 5th Wheel

Wow - short investigation and a lot of assumption. The exposed ice maker line is now insulated. I'm sure it was an oversight rather than a "shortcut" :R Insulated or not, if water isn't moving through it, it can freeze. The whole thing is a shortcut. So what does every OTHER manufacturer do that has an ice maker in the slide? I have no idea but you must. well on my 2013 cedar creek 36 CKTS the water line runs under the main slide and is exposed to the weather, but since I live in Florida its not a problem at the moment . As far Redwood quality I like them. Lemons exist in all brands, my friend bought a new DRV elite suite last year and was delivered to her with over $20,000 in warranty repairs needed.

RE: Big sale on towables

I have 1 customer I have refused to build anymore cars for also.It was a $100K show car. Sometimes they just are not worth the trouble. I guess your it for that CW. You must be famous and rich to turn away 100,000 builds LMAOBelieve it or not, we do have a rep and have done much higher builds but some customers are just not worth the trouble. Haven't priced building many high end cars have you? No I have not . but in my 60 years on this planet I have learned that some people just can't perform up to there reputation and therefore turn away people who would actually want the work done to there satisfaction, not saying that you may be that way, its just an observation. now since you have had your say, lets just close this thread as it really was just my observation about our local CW and did not require the peanut gallery to comment on my worthiness as a customer or anybodys ability to build a car.

RE: Big sale on towables

I think that shipped has sailed. I can see why CW folks are reluctant to deal with you. I don't understand why you would want to shop there at this point. Let it go. You claim to have other options, follow through and purchase elsewhere. Otherwise just let it go........ well for one they keep sending me sales flyers, I got curious, yes you are right I have other options and have and will go there. I primarily went there today due to my dealer being closed on saturdays and the Keystone dealer to far to drive just to look. As far as letting it go, I would love to but its just not in nature. But I do concede that CW bashing is getting old, so its time to move on as I really do not think they will ever change. And by the way I have purchased elsewhere, 4 times in the past 4 years.

RE: Big sale on towables

I guess it doesn't matter, I can buy the same RV from any number of places, just found it rather comical see the sales staff clucking about not wanting to get involved. and to think I brought my check book and was going to make a cash offer. they just reassured me things have not changed in Winter Garden, they could have taken the chance to change us into happy customers but instead we remain unimpressed. and yes most of my posts about CW are negative but than they deserve every one of them. when you consider I was about to sign for a 50,000 truck to tow my new 5th wheel when they (CW) informed me they sold our RV to someone else.

Big sale on towables

Went back to the winter garden store after a year had passed to see the big sale, found the perfect Montana fifth wheel and a great posted price, problem was not one sales person would deal with us due to our last encounter there, oh well guess I will buy elsewhere

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

well its been 1 year since we last visited our CW here in Winter Garden, I guess we should have made it a longer period of time, LOL. After receiving our latest invitation to come to CW's big towable sale, my wife and I drove over to see the Montana 5th wheels, actually found the one we wanted and the posted sale price was good, problem was that non of the sales people would talk to us as they were huddled around the showroom discussing that they had a problem with us last year and nobody wanted to deal with us. Oh well I guess I will just buy somewhere else.

RE: Camping World North Little Rock, AR

So why do have a problam with Amish people or blind people? I have bought many porducts built by people of the Amish religon and things built at the blind school and they were all quality products. I guess I am not as lucky as you, but than again maybe forest river doesn't employ the Amish or blind , perhaps thats the problem.

RE: Camping World North Little Rock, AR

i did not intend to cast doubt on your first post as I think just abut every member on here started as a new member with a complaint , I just meant some people feel it necessary to question everyones 1st negative post. Hope it works out for you but honestly, I have had 4 new Rvs in the past 4 years and 3 of them were either built by blind Amish men or Amish in training. 3 of them have been forest river products and 1 airstream, the airstream was trouble free, the forest river products should team up with CW, they both s**k

RE: Camping World North Little Rock, AR

1st thing you have to realize is threatening employees will get you nothing but banned from service. I am no fan of CW but you must remember that they did not build your RV nor do they have to service it. Complaining about it here may get you a response form CW but most likely will get you a bunch of posts casting doubt on your complaint as its your first and its a negative post about CW. I think everyone here has a horror story about service both at CW and other dealers. You can call keystone and get a list of other service centers or private individuals that will do warranty work for keystone. Just keep in mind if you piss off the powers that be at CW they can just ignore you.
