RE: PUP Awning worth the darn?

We used to use ours until the stitching rotted out and the bag fell off. I couldn't find a new rubber mount so I put it in storage until I can find a replacement part.

RE: Ultimate PUP

Since posting and starting the forum DW really fell in love with the HW31SCTH - High Wall Series. Huge with two axles, shower, and front luggage area.

Ultimate PUP

DW and I are looking at upgrading to a larger PUP. In your opinion: What is the largest, most awesome, with toilet and shower popup camper on the market today?

RE: Where have all the FOLDING TRAILERS CAMPERS gone too...

DW and I prefer camping in the winter as the bugs are less as well as the SNAKES. We do alot of hiking and it is cooler so we don't overheat as much. The camper keeps pretty warm with one oilfilled heater and cooking (Hot Cocoa and Tea). Our two children (canine) sleep against us and keep us warm also. The campgrounds are less crowded also in the Winter.

RE: Winds 25 mph gusts 42mph plus

We just got done with a camping trip in Northern Texas. A sevier thunderstorm blew through and was up to 60 MPH winds. The velcro came apart around the door when the rain was pouring in. Grrrrr!!!!

RE: Porta Potties

Thanks guys for the help. Went to camping World and bought a 260 which I think is the Thetford 135. Jut right for me. Tried it out with just water so I would know how to use it. Thanks again
Tried it out? That is one of the smartest things I have seen on here. Alot of people just "use" it and complain about things not working. Glad it works for you. DW and I have a thetford and it works great. I do take a pressure washer to it every once in a while just to make sure it is VERY clean. The use of it for men when standing was a bit irritating. It helps when you have something to assist in the standing afterwards though.

RE: Do I need a battery?

I had a dead battery and my electric brakes worked. I did find that more worked properly when the battery was replaced. I haven't boon docked with just a battery but plan on it this winter. I am thinking of using a small quiet generator.
