RE: Question for the Battery Experts

Don't mix batteries. Wait until getting to Dover, if there is a Sams there since there is no state sales tax. But beware, if there is a Sams there, not all Sams sell GC batteries and some even if they have the lower amp hour version don't stock the higher version. Just from what I have seen out in the West.

RE: Alfa Leisure See Ya SYF35RL Slide motor and seal

There are some tests that should be done first before knowing what might be wrong. Is there voltage going to the slide motor as these are not hydrulic slides? I'm not sure as I understand the "seal" situation. Did you try to crank it in by hand? By the way I'm an Alfa owner.

RE: First time using Dexter E-Z Lube axle

Before you "repacked" did you pull the hub off the spindle and actually check the bearings and look to see how much grease was already in the hub?

RE: NASCAR at it finest ........huh?

You might want to go somewhere else for the latest FRANCECAR news. Read about Jennifer Jo Cobb, Mike Harmon, David Novak all from the truck series. No mention made tonight on the truck race.

RE: Anyone used Shade Pro products?

They do many jobs in the parks in Yuma, AZ. during snowbird season. Also if in Yuma and you are a do it your selfer, they have a booth at the Arizona Marketplace and you can order your stuff there, pick it up there and save some bucks.

RE: Eagles RV parking?

I forget what the Eagles dues is. Before I left Yuma a couple of weeks ago I got an application and haven't submited it yet. We use Elks quite a bit depending where we are. Elks dues vary by the individual lodge. Prices also vary on RV parking. Some have some hok-ups, some have none but it sure works for us. We just did 15 days at the Boulder City, NV. lodge. We are members at the Gila Bend, AZ. lodge as they work with RVers and have a huge induction every February.

RE: Water transfer pump

We use a hose with a ball built in it to siphon the water out of a container into the fresh water tank when we are boondocking. It is about 5' long and you simply move it up and down in the container until water starts to flow and it will run until the end of the hose is above the water. Real simple and CHEAP. I gave $5.00 for mine down here at Lowes. Home Depot also carries them. Maybe Canadian Tire or the outfit that sponsors the CFL, I can't remember their name would have them. They usually have them hanging from a shelf support along an aisle.

RE: Newsman/s mouth

I loved it! Sure didn't sugar coat the situation. I'm so tired of the corporate answers that most drivers give. Might go with the territory driving for Smoke as he calls a spade a spade. By the way, did you see the unsealed documents that show what young France is paying his twice ex?

RE: Anyone Remember Sherwood Forest CG in Myrtle Beach?

Sure do! Our first camping trip to MB was in 1974. Stayed the Holiday Inn Travel Park which is now North Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Terryallan I believe is right. There used to be a little Mom and Pop parts place that used to sit in front of Pondersa CG. Had all the parts and were very friendly. If memory serves me correctly a plane crashed into that resort where Sherwood Forest used to be a couple of years ago. Something happened when it was approaching the NMB airport.

RE: Campgrounds near Coeur d Alene ID

If you are an Elks Lodge member the CdA lodge has very nice RV parking. About 1/4 mile west off US 95 on the CdA-Hayden town line. Also very reasonable!

RE: Twin Falls Idaho area recommendations

Rock Creek County Park on US 30 on the west side of Twin. On the west side of old hospital. Some pull-thrus and back-ins. Some 50, some 30 amp. Water. Dump station(free) about a mile away. We usualy stay there on our way north and south. Might be there next week. $15.00 a night. Nice place. If going west on 30 just past hospital, there is a sign that says "Rock Creek County RV Park". You turn right, beside a modular home sales, down a hill and you are there. You can't see the park from the road as it sits down beside Rock Creek. We have a 39' fiver and dually crew cab and have no problem. If you need more info PM me.

RE: Breakfast with Bobby Allison

After my posting above, we were eating supper, and I unfortunately left out Clifford Allison. I certainly knew better.

RE: Breakfast with Bobby Allison

In 1978 we were camping at Talledega. Day tripping out we drove over to Hueytown. Stopped at the post office for directions and the lady at the counter said "wait a couple of minutes and follow me there". It was his wife Judy. So we did and got the full shop tour. We will never forget the big Coca Cola sign out in front of the shop which was his sponsor at the time. Simply put, one class act along with Mom and Pop Allison, Donnie, Davy, Red Farmer, and Neil Bonnet. Glad your timing was good!

RE: Overnight stop between Twin Falls and Salt Lake area

SteveAE, I had brain fade. But getting to US 93 RV park is easy now. As you come across the Perrine Bridge (Snake River)turn right at the traffic light at McDonalds/Costco. This is a 6/4 lane road past Wally Super Center and the new hospital. 4 lane to US 93/US30 intersection, the 2 lane down to the RV park.

RE: Overnight stop between Twin Falls and Salt Lake area

If you don't need hook-ups, American Falls. Exit 40 I-86, take Rt. 39 thru town towards Aberdeen. On the right just after going across the bridge is the Bureau of Reclamation bldg. There is a huge driveway on the north side of building that goes into a huge grael lot. Picnic tables. 14 day free. Nice and level. We usually do several nights there and there is a boat ramp.

RE: Rv Park in Idaho Falls, Idaho ?

We never stay in IDF proper. We always use the North Bigham County RV park in Shelley. Nice place and a poster above referred to it.
