RE: Toilet bowl blow back

We have this when our black tank is just about full. Once we dump it stops.

RE: If Fulltiming wasnt for you, why?

I was the one who wanted to sell the house and FT. My husband was doubtful but decided we were gone almost 8 months of the year anyway, so would give it a try. Now, 3 years later, he loves the RV lifestyle and says he will never buy another house. We just can't imagine waking every day to the same view. We are very active and love the freedom to hike, bike, kayak, and golf in a new setting as often as we desire.

RE: Snowbirds Golf

WE are currently at Publeo El Mirage just outside of Phoenix. The resort is fabulous and the golf course is a Fuzzy Zeller designed 18 hole championship course. We are paying $26.00 a round to walk and $31.00 to ride. Very walkable though. Lots of great activities in the resort and around this area. Great bike paths which go for miles, wonderful mountain hiking, lots of dinner shows in the area and of course a casino nearby. This is our fourth winter and already booked our site for next year. PM me for more info.

RE: New Zealand

We have been full time rving here in the US for three years. We spent two months in NZ last March and April. We did not rent an RV but a small car. We stayed in RV parks most of the two months in the cabins. The cabins had full baths and also cooking facilities. We decided we did not want to drive an RV to all the hiking spots and leave all our belongings unattended for the entire day. Also, the roads are narrow and winding and a small car worked better for us. Also, the RV's in NZ do not have holding tanks. They are equipped with cassettes which you take to a dump station and clean. Not something we were interested in either. We talked to many RVers in the campgrounds. Many cooked in the campground kitchens which are wonderful just because of the condensation issues in the small RV. When we looked at the difference in cost of an RV and a small car, and renting RV sites and renting cabins, and gas costs of an RV versus a small car, we felt we came out ahead. Also, remember, when it rains, you are stuck in a small RV. If you want any info on NZ, just PM me.

RE: best Florida State Park for bicycle riding

Not too far from Paynes Prarie SP near Gainesville is the Hawthorne Trail. It is quite long with stops in towns along the route. Check it out on the net.

RE: buying a 5th wheel

We have been full time in our Big Horn for two years today. We love the floor plan and the unit has really held up well. We move alot so takes lots of road wear. We have had the usual small problems but nothing big so far.

Hollywood

We will be taking our 13 year old granddaughter on a 3 week trip in the west. Plan to see Las Vegas, Zion, Grand Canyon, Arches etc. She REALLY wants to see Hollywood. Does anyone have a recommendation on a campground in that area and also can you tell me about any tours which would let us avoid driving and parking in the area.

RE: Macon GA

We have stayed at Tobosofkee just off I-475 many times. They do have a few full hookup drive through sites which are level. I don't think they take reservations though. Other than there, we have ended up in Forsythe at the KOA. Not much to chose from.

RE: Resort Information in Florida

We too love Turkey Lake but Weikiva State Park is also a favorite. If you are near the Tampa area, Hillsborough River State Park is also a keeper.

RE: looking for florida state parks with springs

Weikiva Springs State park sounds like that. A great swimming area, good canoeing and a wonderful campground.

We are currently in Arizona at Pueblo El Mirage resort and there are lots of empty spots now. Don't know if they are reserved for later.

RE: Myrtle Beach SC

We really like Huntington Beach State Park. Full hookup sites, short walking trails to the beach, great biking and close to Murrel's Inlet where there are many great restaurants. Best of all, about half the price of the private campgrounds.

Bracket for counter extension

The bracket which holds the counter extension to the wall has broken. Has anyone else had this happen and if so where did you get a new bracket.

We stay at Pueblo El Mirage just off 101 and very close to the Glendale stadium. I don't know exactly where you need to be but it is a nice park.
