RE: My Grandmother's Pot Roast

We had that every Sunday. Cooked while we were at church. Main differnce was cut up potatoes added with the onions and carrots. Yummy. x2, and still have the blue enamel pan she cooked it in! Now you've made me hungry!

RE: Slidout sticking or shorting out

Sounds like bad connection somewhere in the wiring at the motor. X2. Both times you got it to work you took actions that may have reconnected a loose connection. I would just check them all and make sure tight.

RE: finally getting back to camping

Enjoy the next chapter! Glad to hear the kids are able to get back to something they enjoy. Take good care of them! Happy trails!

RE: Northern Illinois Camping Group Spring rally June 7th-9th

Doesn't look like DW's work schedule is going to allow us to make it to this one. Hope you all have a great time. Enjoy a cold beverage of your choice for me! Brian

RE: Jayco Jayflight - opinions from owners...?

Jayco has a great reputation in general. Fiver in my sig continues to be solid, well constructed, and so far problem free with only usual maintenance.

RE: Date of TT Tires

Should be another code on it; might be on the other side. 4 digits, first 2 should be 01-52, second two should hopefully be 11 or 12.

RE: Which tire cover?

I've never seen the need to anchor them using the eyelets. I just snug them down over the tires and call it a day. They fit snugly and have never blown off, or even moved, afaik.

RE: Cover or not to cover

I cover mine during the winter, and an glad I do. Use a cover designed for the purpose instead of a regular tarp. An RV cover allows moisture which will develop to evaporate.

RE: 2005 Jayco Designer - Some Questions

We've got the '04 in our sig and love it. I haven't had any problems with it, perform the usual maintenance. It is still very solid. We've been very happy with it.

RE: 1999 F350 & 2011 BIGHORN 32Ti - CUSTOM PAINT JOB!!!

Wow! Very nice. Was the Bighorn repainted, or is that the original?

RE: Mosquitos!

I've found those clip on battery operated repellent fans to actually work pretty well. Can't think of who makes them right now, but they're all over. In addition to the beer, of course!

RE: Leak has been found, how to dry

Unless you run the dehumidifier, a heater might not work too well, as you'll be creating humidity. I would just run a regular fan or two, pointed directly at the wet area as much as possible. Keep your windows open too.

RE: full timing with black water Q

Put rotating vanes on BOTH the black and grey tanks. Lots of water is all you need. Barb I'll admit I'm fairly new at RVing. I've never heard of "rotating vanes." What are they? Referring to vent covers that rotate with the wind direction and draw odors out, such as this one.

RE: Scan Gauge II

Not to hijack this thread, but what is the brightest, easiest to see, greatest contrast color? I don't know about the Scangauge, but the Insight automatically adjusts to light conditions.

RE: full timing with black water Q

Try The Geo Method. It'sIt's been very effective for us, but you need to follow it as written.
