What is a "B+"?
For the past 6-7 years I have followed the "B" forum on RV.Net. They were very stubborn about defining a "B" as the original van configuration. I attended the B7 Rally in Ohio 4 years ago and when a "Winnebago View" showed up it caused quite a stir. I pick up my Navion 24G this Tuesday. This model does not have a bed over the front cab. Would this be considered a B+ on this forum? I am enjoying reading this forum and hope to meet many of you "down the road"!
New "C" Owner
Just purchased a new Navion 24G (Itasca). Pick up in a week. I have been an active "B" owner for the past 7 years and have enjoyed RV.Net. I am sure I'll have lots of questions once I bring it home in a week or so. Looking forward to getting to know other "C" owners.
RE: 2.7 L 5 cylinder engine in Great West Sprinter Elite RV van
Ditto on loving the 5 cylinder Sprinter. Get a metal turbo resonator (put in on yourself if possible)! I have a 2005 with 95,000 miles. Been over the Rocky Mountains several times and always had plenty of power and I continue to get 22-23 mpg.
RE: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?
Drove it to a Sprinter shop and had a NY State inspection and an oil change (ouch!) ! Also had the Tires inspected. So I'm all set for a trip to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks. We stay at Huntington Beach State Park. We will be there for 8 days. Oh, I also ran the Genny for a couple of hours when I got home. Washed the van and cleaned the wheels.
Scan Gauge with a Sprinter Van
I have a 2005 Sprinter B (Gulfstream) and am thinking about purchasing a Scan Gauge II. Has anyone found this to be a useful tool?
RE: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?
Here in upstate NY we are bracing for "Sandy". I filled the propane tank Saturday and parked the "B" near the house. I am ready to run the ONAN if power goes out. I am hoping to keep the frig and a few lights going if necessary in the house. It's an Onan 2500. Will it run a few appliances? I'm guessing it should! If not we can stay in the van and watch the news.
RE: Re: RoadTrek Unveiling a New Product at the Hersey Show
I saw many full size diesel vans (fiat, ford, renault) in Ireland and Great Britain this summer. It would be great to have a choice. These vans were converted to B and C class RV's.
RE: Learned something new in re: cleaning tanks
Kendall mentioned rock salt. Is water softener salt a viable method for helping to clean the sensors? It is so hot here that adding ice would not last long enough to do the trick.
