RE: Who parks their RV at home or do you pay for storage?

I keep my class C at home, inside. We live in a Morton building with small living area (1700 sq ft) and large garage (3600 sq ft) with a 12H X 15 wide sliding door. No heat so cold in winter and hot in the summer. Built while we had the Shadow Cruiser fifth wheel so no trouble when we upgraded. Don't have the height for a class A so I think I'm safe. My big toy box building!

RE: Recomend Hershey Pa campground

We have gone three times, once at Highmeadow and the next two times in the camping area at the show. Price is 25.00 per night, no hookups and 10.00 extra if you have a dinghy. There is taxi service (golfcart) from the camping area to & from the entrance. A phone call and a short wait is all it takes. Sometimes will ride you right to the camper and right to the arena. Quiet hours from 11PM til 800AM I think. You can find more info on the website for the show. We were at the show 3 days and stayed there two nites each time. Parked close to others but no problems. No reservations but we went the first day each with no problems. Give me a PM if any questions.
On Edit--we have a 24ft C and no Dinghy and just one slide.

Flat tow Chevy HHR

Am considering a used Chevy HHR to flat tow behind my 2005 Jayco 24SS on an E450 chassis. Any comments, hints or any other info would be useful.. Thanks!

RE: Hose Connection Wrench

Channel-lock or water-pump pliers. Useful for lots of other things too.

RE: MPG feedback needed

2005 Jayco 24SS--Have put on 30700 miles since purchase in May 2007. Average mileage is 8.949/gal. Usually at or below 60 MPH and several thousand miles dolly towing a 2004 Toyota Solara convertible (3472 lbs + dolly). Also 60+/- hours use on generator. If I go East, West or North it requires going over the mountains. Don't go South as it is hot enough here in North Carolina. Hope this helps. Average weight probably about 12560 (weighed at lumber mill neighbor)

RE: Looking at a C, have a few questions

Looking at the picture of the tire in the ad, there appears to be a crack in the sidewall at about the four o'clock position,in close to the rim. May be nothing but check all the tires very well and check the manufacture dates in the sidewall. Figure a minimum of 1100.00 for six new tires. Good luck.

RE: Tiny rail car RV's?

Probably a NARCOA (North American Rail Car Owners Association) sponsered ride. Good group & good fun. Have to pass an operator's test and have required safety equipment in your car. No alcohol when on railroad property. There have been trips on almost every railroad in the country. Mostly stay in motels and eat meals (except lunch) in nice resturants. Been on many trips with them including four trips on the Algoma Central in Ontario and one 10 day trip in Manitoba clear up to Churchill. Never really had a bad trip although leaving Churchill on July Fourth it was rainy with some snow flurries mixed in and temperature of 34 F.

RE: Breaks interstate park

Only things I can advise is 1) campground does not take reservations 2) park is dry-no alcoholic beverages allowed. Stayed in hotel area three times-very nice & good food in resturant. Have not had experience in campground except checking for friends on the park website. May have changed since then.
