RE: Let the travel begin, v2013

I think you will find that a lot of those who full time do blogs which are indicated in their signatures. And we don't think of each year having a particular travel season, we're traveling all f the time. So if you need ideas of places to do, things to see, read some of the blogs. BarbDitto

RE: TT elite membership - is it worth it?

Cabanaman ------- a quick question for you. I see you are retired military, does that give you access to military bases for camping? I'm a honorably discharged veteran, not retire military, would I also have the access to camp at military bases? If so, how do I find the bases that have the camping? thanks in advance, Terry YOUR REPLY............ Your dues will be closer to $600 once you get all done.Still worth it doing 200 nights a year.We do at least that. Our time out is done at military bases.Hi there, You need to have a military ID to get on base so I'm afraid it won't work for you.

RE: Goodyear Tires

Not everyone uses ST junk tires. Lots of us run LT tires with a speed rating of 99 MPH.I resemble that remark. But I only do 65 mph.

RE: Mobile Suites towed with short bed Dodge?

There is a guy in the park I am in that has a 36 MS and is towing it with a 2500 GM short bed. Amazing! Just make sure your departure times are on different days :W Years ago I parked next to a Grand Teton at the storage yard. Finally after a year or so I got to meet the guy who owned it. Yep driving a 2500 :EMaybe that's why it's in storage and not on the road? I tow my 40' 15K (loaded) 5er with a 2500 but a teton would be nuts, even for me.

RE: Tires, replace or not

Thanks everyone for the information. I've decided to replace them so we don't have to worry about it. The first price I got was for the Michelin LT225/75R16 LTX M/S2 and that was $1620 installed. I'm going to price the Michelin XPS tomorrow. We will be on the road for a couple of months and peace of mind going down the road like RV Volunteers CONUS said is priceless.$1620!!!!! Ouch sounds a little high.Should be about $200 a piece installed.

I agree completely,After my heart attack at 50 I said to heck with it lets sell the house and hit the road.Couldn't afford the house anyway because I could no longer work (truck driver) due to the damage done.

RE: TT elite membership - is it worth it?

That's a little high,my friend got one from a broker on ebay for $1500. I am using an old membership handed down from my grandmother to my mother to me. 14 in 7 out or 4 in no time out.We could not afford to live without it.
