RE: Finally got to see a Hi Lo in person
I can not understand why some people do not like Dutch (two piece) doors in an RV.
Frequently, I leave the top open for air flow and close the bottom to to keep critters out.
I built a Velcro on screen door top for my Aliner for just such an occasion. I know what you mean about storage ease. My Aliner fits under my low carport with room to spare, taking up no more room than a luxury car would.
I like to camp in NP and SP campgrounds too. Just try getting a TT down the twisty, narrow road leading to Cataloochee camp in GSMNP. I'll be taking her to the Chisos Basin CG in Big Bend NP in a few months. They limit the TT length to 20ft and MH length to 24ft to get to the basin because of a few hairpin turns that'll put you over the center line.
Lots of folks bring HUGE fifth wheels into Cataloochee and motor homes too! I would't but I see it quite often when we go there. I'll stick to my little 8 foot popup though!
