RE: Dual Cam Set-up.

I would just follow the instructions that it came with and do all the measurements yourself. "Most" of the people that work on RV's don't do the set up properly. I had to re do all of mine. The shop didn't even measure one thing. Good luck and I hope that it works for you.

If it is just that then you should be fine.

RE: Flat TV mounting

I did mine the same way. With it right on the edge of the wall it can be watched by the kids in the bunks or me and DW in bed or anyone at the table.

RE: Big Foot

I have never before heard someone say that the big foot brand was poorly built. Did you have bad luck with one? I have only heard great things about them. They have a great re-sale value as well.

RE: 2009 Keystone Passport & 2006 Tacoma?

And I think that a one tonne is a bit much for the OP needs. My Tacoma does a good job towing my trailer and when I am not towing (about 90% of the time) I get good fuel mileage and a nice tuck to drive. I would love to drive around a big one tone duramax but it just didn't make sense.

RE: 2009 Keystone Passport & 2006 Tacoma?

I got this. It does the job and I saved about 8 grand over the Spree. It would be nice to have that extra room and that great U shaped dinette, but we are happy still.

RE: 2009 Keystone Passport & 2006 Tacoma?

The 245 is a nice trailer. I was looking at that but I even thought that it was too much for my Tacoma. Now that you say it tows good makes me mad that I didn't give it a try. O well.

RE: 2009 Keystone Passport & 2006 Tacoma?

I have an 09 Tacoma double cab long box and I tow this. I use the Reese dual cam setup and the Tacoma does a good job towing this rig, but I don't think that I would go as big as you did. If the salesman will let you test pull it go for it and make up your own mind. Just make sure that you pull it in a few different situations (not just around the block) and try some fast stops. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

RE: Reese dualcam noise

Thanks for all the info (and making me fell better). I had heard of some people complaining about noise so I was expecting some. In my case I have just 550-650 pounds on the bars so should I use some Vaseline?
Thanks again.

Reese dualcam noise

So I just set mine up and am very happy with how it handels the trailer. I have heard that they are loud when you turn, and mine doesn't make any noise. Did I do something wrong or do they get louder as they wear in?
Thanks.

RE: Towing maximum confusion

Just wondering if it is the combined weight rating that is hurting here. If you have a heavy 3/4 tone truck with a smaller engine and a week tranny with low gears. I know that my dad had a 93 dodge Cummings 3/4 and with low gears and it could only do 6500lb.
I would consider with the price of trucks right now, to upgrade to a newer 1/2 tone (most likely with a higher tow rating) or if you wanted to go big get a newer 3/4.
Maybe a newer truck and a used trailer?

RE: Rethinking trailer length

That Keystone Bullet 282 bhs is a nice floor plan. If I could pull a trailer that long I would look at it. If you want a shorter model the Rockwood 2501SS is a nice floor plan and trailer. I love the Murphy bed/ sofa. This actual weight on this floor plan with options is around 5K dry.

RE: Is it nearly impossible to find a used Hensley Arrow????

You should look at Pro Pride. They sell the new and improved Hensley at a cheaper price.
I personally do not use either a Hensley or A ProPride hitch, so I cant give you my opinion on them. I have a Reese dual cam and am happy with it for now.
Hope this helps.

RE: Opinion on the FLUSHKING?

If I should ever get a clog at the drain opening, the Flush King will back flush it out. That feature alone is worth the $49 in my opinion
I just started camping with my RV. Is it that common to have a clog with a 3" pipe? My TT didn't come with a flush but I did install 3 of them. One at each end of the black and one close to the sensors in the gray. 75$ for the three Tornado's. They are very easy to install as long s you have access to your tanks.

Making sliding drawers

Hello. I just bought myself a TT (greywolf 22bh) with a walk around queen bed. I would like to cut some holes in the front area and put in some sliding drawers. I just thought that this will be more practical than lifting the bed up to get at the storage. If anyone has done this could you please send me picks of your setup as well as any info would be great. Thanks.

RE: Hard Slide vs Fold Out Hybrids

18K is a good deal on the hard slide in Canada. They wanted in the mid 20's in BC for that model.

RE: TV requirements

If you are going to do a lot of towing I would get a Diesel. Not just for the pulling power but for the fuel economy as well.
