RE: Black tank valve hard to close

I put a half bottle of cheap fabric softener in the black tank after dmping and
never have had a problem with a valve sticking. It keeps the rubber
lubricated.

RE: "LADDER (under control)"

We carry ours bungee corded to the MH ladder. Up and down in 3 minutes.
Underneath the rig would be a pain, in my opinion.

RE: how old is your toad?

We've towed our 2001 Tracker for 195M miles. Speedometer reads 155M driving
miles. One of the best vehicles we have ever owned.

RE: Medigap or Medicare Supplement Plans - Which company ????

We have medicare and the AARP supplement underwritten by United
Health Care. From 6/10 through 11/11 I underwent treatment
and surgery for colorectal cancer. Never paid a penny with these
two policies. Would highly recommend the AARP supplement to Medicare.

RE: how old is your toad?

We have a 2001 Chevy Tracker, 4-door, 4wd with 155K driving miles and 195K
towed miles. Towed miles do not register on the Tracker. Will keep it
until it "dies". Great Toad!

RE: Gas mileage for 2001 four winds hurricane 33sl

We have a 2005 GeorgieBoy with a ford V-10 towing a Chevorlet Tracker. Mieage
varies depending on terrain, wind, speed--can get 6.0 to 8.3 depending on
the variation of the above factors. When someone asks me about gas mileage
my stock answer is "we didn't buy it for gas mileage"!!

RE: Pads for hydraulic jacks

We use yellow plastic leggo blocks. Have always worked for us. If conditions
warrant we don't use them. Light weight and store easy.

RE: Quadra Jacks Maintenance?

We have had our Bigfoot levers for over 7 years--best on the market as far
as I am concerned. Have never had to add fluid! We are full-timers
and use our levelers continuously.

RE: NC to Maine this summer through NY and VT: Want routes

We spent the summer in New England last year. Most driving was on US highways
and state roads. Less traffic and beautiful scenery. With the Good Sam
Atlas, I routed the whole trip trying to stay off ALL interstate highways.
Had a beautiful summer!

Have a few things stored at daughter's house. Otherwise, we had an

We, too, have had nothing but excellent service on our Quadra levelers.
Had to have one unit replaced our first year out as full-timers.

RE: RV World, Nokomis, FL

Would really like to hear from someone who has had actual experience.
The reference by RV Volunteers CONUS was seriously outdated. Only three
ratings, one in 2007, 2008, and 2011. Would not consider a good source!

In a recent post there was a reference to OCCC and that it could
be too low for a full-timer.
What is OCCC?
