RE: My New Toy Hauler!!! 34' Eclipse Attitude

Really nice looking rig.
We also purchased our first toy hauler from worst rv. Our microwave caught on fire, our gas leaked, and worst of all they didn't install my brake controller properly which i didn't notice for over 2 years!!!! 2 years of driving without trailer brakes.
NEVER AGAIN.

Cmon man!! How are you going to drive for two years without trailer brakes and not know about it? Don't you ever test your trailer brakes before you haul your trailer? Astounds me that someone is going blame thier ignorance and stupidity on someone else. Not that I condone or support "worst" RV but take a little ownership on your own mistakes when they are clearly in your power to remedy before you go and blame someone else.
First time owner / operator. I thought they didn't work and something was a muck but the manual slider switch activated the brakes so I figured that's just how it was. The cable that connected the brake on my truck to activating trailer brake never was connected. The manual brake switch was.
When you have nothing to compare to, it is pretty simple to overlook. Now that I've driven with trailer brakes it is very obvious and I'll never overlook that again.

Mini Blind bottom rail clips

We just brought home a new toy hauler, YAY!
One of the mini blinds is missing the end cap for the bottom rail that has the little peg that sits in the clip so the blind doesn't move around in transport. Where can I find one and what is the technical name?!?? Would home depot carry it?

RE: Eclipse Attitude - Any good?

So we ended up with a new 2012 Forest River FB2312. It's a half ton friendly model with a huge front bath. Pretty awesome. Only downside, is that it has the upgraded axle's on it, so the GVWR is 10800 or something crazy high and will require me getting a special license. Ugh. The actual weight is 5687 unloaded.
I doubt we'll ever have it of 8k though.

you should weigh it for sure. Especially if you're towing with half ton.

RE: Eclipse Attitude - Any good?

The eclipse I was looking at i think will be too heavy. It has the fiberglass sides. Bummer.

RE: Eclipse Attitude - Any good?

The sales guy just checked the weight on the sticker of the 07 with the fiberglass sides and it said dry weight 7k. That sounds pretty accurate to me. That would mean, 800 pounds of water. 200 pounds of gas. 8k just with liquids.
We probably easily have 750 pounds in bikes and another 250-500 pounds in crap. That means a hair of 9k. My tow is 9100. Hmmmmmm.

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

I love that you keep these pictures in your Photobucket account!...
I guess I should start posting pics of Fords dead on the side of the road or on Tow Trucks!!! 6.0, nuff said!!
Please stay on topic Derwud - The pictures are of a Titan that was pulling a WW FS2300. To much trailer for that truck - ended up bending the frame of the truck.....
What's the story? I imagine that the trailer itself must have been overloaded as well right? Scary!
Poor hitch set up with to much air (90psi) in the bags and big dip in the road, something had to give and it was the truck...
Wow, brutal.
How much weight do the fiberglass sides add? There's a nice 23ft but it has fiberglass sides... :(

RE: Eclipse Attitude - Any good?

How accurate were they on their weight? My wife and i are looking at the FS 23 ft. We're going to take a look on Sunday. Can we place any stock into the sticker they'll have printed inside?

Eclipse Attitude - Any good?

Hi All,
Looks like we've sold our WW FK1900 which was fantastic to us for the 2.5 years we had it. We're now replacing with another and I really like the Eclipse Attitudes, but can't find anything about them.
Are they a good brand? Is Eclipse still in business? We are looking at the 23' front sleeper Attitudes. Any experience you could share would be helpful.
Especially any comparisons to the WW FS2300. That would be helpful. I've been googling for days without much success.
THANK YOU!

What can you all tell me about Eclipse Attitude trailers? I found a 23 ft "lite" model of that trailer as well.

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

I think my tongue rating is 920 on the titan, so hopefully it's not more than that! I think 750, plus batts and propane probably push it up real close to that rating.

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

Can I use the same hitch i've been using or do I need to buy a whole new setup? If i need to buy a new setup, how much money and what type of hitch do I need?
The dealer I bought the fk1900 from set me up with everything...

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

Yes check the tongue, if the trailer is level the tongue should also be level!
Check for cracks in the frame near the punched holes in the frame.
60 or 100 gallons of water.. if you look under the trailer, if it has 4 tanks in the front, it's 100 gallons. 3 tanks, 60 gallons.
non ducted heat and A/C, heater will keep the front toasty. The A/C works good, but it takes a while for the coolness to hit the front..
What are you going to tow with?
I'll be towing with a Titan, like you it would seem! 2008 Titan LE LWB 4X4 with BT. How does it tow it? I'm not concerned with power because I know that will be fine, Im most concerned with being safe as I'll always have my most precious cargo with me, my kids and wife.

Weekend Warrior FS2300

We're looking to upgrade our TH a size or two. One of the models that looks great, and is also half ton towable is the WW FS2300. What can you all tell me about them? It sounds like the 2005 and older ones had some issues with the tongue, but aside from that, I dont see a lot of complaints.
I have a couple questions for owners -
Does it have ducted a/c and heat? If not, does it stay cool/warm in the front sleeper?
Anything I should look for aside from the tongue?
Thanks!
