RE: Enclosed Underbelly - Pros and Cons?

If you don't have an enclosed undercarriage then what protects your flooring material from all the water- salt- oil spray from the road?? On my trailer without the enclosed underbelly, there is still a layer of the coraplast sheeting, but it is ABOVE the holding tanks and covers the bottom of the floor. So the underside is not exposed, just the tanks and plumbing. With the enclosed underbelly the sheeting covers the tanks and plumbing in addition to the floor.

RE: Jayco Comments Anyone??

I guess it must have taken them 8 hours to build mine since it has been a good one so far.....never been back to a dealer in 3+ years for anything.

RE: Jayco Comments Anyone??

"I guess the same people would either be happy or go into seizures if they consider how quickly cars are mass produced these days." I agree. And I believe the 7 hour deal is a bit misleading considering the frame, running gear, walls, cabinets, furniture, roof trusses, appliances, holding tanks, etc are all preassembled BEFORE the final assembly begins. So in reality, the build time is a bit longer then 7 hrs IMO. That particular model in the video is also a 26 BH, which is a basic, no slide model, so a Pinnacle or other more complex multi slide unit would likely take longer as well.

RE: Personal Property Tax

Just received the personal property tax bill from the City of Virginia Beach. Again this year they had incorrectly billed at the car tax rate ($3.57 per 1000) rather than the RV rate ($1.50 per 1000). Pretty significant savings to call the city # on the back of the bill. I know there is at least one other rv.net member in Va Beach. The only depressing part is seeing how small the assessed value is :) I guess that I should just remember that and how much fun it is to wash when thinking of getting a newer larger fifth wheel. Well in this county of Va. the PP tax on cars, trailers, boats is 3.72 per HUNDRED, not thousand so Va Beach is very cheap if that is correct. So the tax on a 20,000 boat or RV would be 744.00 here in Accomack County (OUCH). The RE tax is relatively low however.

RE: 2013 jayco model question?

According to the RVdirect Quick quote site, the 322 FKS is a 2012 model that is discontinued and only stock units available. This site shows which models are available for 2013 also if you do a bit of searching. http://www.rvdirect.com/models.asp?type=3&make=67&model=1139
