RE: post pictures of your HTT

Thanks, when we bought it, developed a leak on the roof seam, bad caulk, pulled the wall apart and rebuilt the front interior, we are really enjoying it. Also redid the floor

Slide is leaking

I just bought a 2002 Keystone Cabana 2150. In the process of replacing the cracked linoleum I found some soft floor by the slide. After a lot of rain I found the slide is leaking water in on both bottom corners into the camper. So do you think the seals need to be replaced, or how do you start the process Is is a weekend project to do yourself or best left to a professional?

We also just bought for the dealership a 2006 SWB TB V8 with a 3.73 and sunroof. Only has 70k on it and will probably be kept for towing duty(boats and flat bed trailers). Ill be dumping my 2004 Passat wagon 1.8t GLS FWD with 195k for the GLX glamper wagon 4 motion. wow funny thing is i have a 03 Passat GLX wagon 4motion and a 06 Saab 9-7 5.3

RE: help on tow weights

Looking for used, would like to stay around $12k or under Just found the Flagstaff Shamrock has the same floor plan also, the Jayco 23j looks like it could work also but they seem to be more pricey. Any others similar to this layout

RE: help on tow weights

so if i'm following in theory everything could be with in numbers then tongue weight could be heavier and put me over payload on TV. Is this something that could just be adjusted by moving stuff in the trailer to lesson the tongue weight. Is there any way of actual figuring weights without actually buying it and loading it up and getting weighed in. Also is there a better gearing to have then the other for towing?

RE: help on tow weights

ok so here's what i found Cargo Volume 39.8 cu ft Standard Payload 1,230 lbs Maximum Payload 1,230 lbs Standard Towing Capacity 6,500 lbs Maximum Towing Capacity 6,500 lbs so do you take the 1230- people weight and gear? do you subtract the hitch weight also?

RE: help on tow weights

I think you would be ok with either as far as tow capacity. TV payload may be another story for the Kodiak What is the TV payload? Is that how much you can put in the camper?

help on tow weights

we are in the market for a hybrid trailer, I have a 2006 Saab 9-7x with the 5.3 v8. towing capacity is 6500lbs and has rear air leveling. I will be getting a weight distrubution with sway hitch Two campers we are looking at 2004 starcraft travel star 21ss0 weight dry 3684 2005 dutchman kodiak 23tt weight dry 4500 I figure with camping gear and weight of us another 1500 lbs so we'd be tight with the Kodiak, Would you feel either are doable or safe
