Why is gas 60 cents more in same state

We just got back from a 1,900 round trip to Myrtle Beach and enjoyed the 3.15 a gallon gas price down south. Coming home we entered Kentucky and noticed the gas price was 3.29 when we entered the state on I 75 when we where getting close to Ohio it was 3.89 a gallon.Same state tax same company. How can there be 60 cents a gallon difference. I filled up after Knoxville at 3.19 a gallon and drove all the way home with out stopping and still had 1/4 tank of gas.I do not want to start a bad gas price war on this site but something needs to be done in Washington to break up these Oil companies. I Remember when we where kids . We had 9 different gas stations and company in our small town of 7,000 people. At that time there was a free market system and it kept the price down.
President Teddy Rosevelt took on the rail roads and won and broke them up. But did not win his next election. He did what was in the peoples best interest and he was rewarded later in life. We need leaders who will stand up to them and not worry about the next election and do what we sent them to do look after our best interest. Would that not be a breath of fresh air and both sides Blue or Red States are getting Big Oil money so it needs to be something both side would agree on to not take a single dime of there money. Then break up BP and the other company,s and start 50 new smaller oil company,s like it use to be.I am a dreamer some would say but it needs to be done.

RE: 22.5 tires inflation

I must have hit a nerve hear all I wanted to know is the proper air pressure that goes in my tires. I went out to the coach and by the drivers seat Winnebago had a sticker just like you said and it said 90 pounds all around . I do know to check the pressure after it sits for a day after getting off the road. Thanks for all the people who have helped me.

22.5 tires inflation

The side of the tire says 110 max but I have read that 90 to 95 pounds are ok as long as you are not to the upper limits
of the GVWR .So is 95 ok or 90 where is the cut off. Thanks

Bleach solution through filter holder

I read in Motor Home that you can use this to clean up your water tank and lines. I have used the winter pipe with a gallon jug last year 1/4 cup to a gallon x4 but with this holder would you put in a whole cup of Bleach and then fill the water tanks up . Then run it through the holder and lines. I know to not use the filter just the holder but was wondering how you guys do it. Thanks

RE: Sears 125PSI Air Compressor

So what you are saying is to have it running all the time when you are pumping up the tires. I was watting for it to catch up and stop then filling the tire. I will try it with it running to see if it fills faster.

RE: Sears 125PSI Air Compressor

We to have on and it took me a long time to get to 90 pounds . One of the rears was at 82 and that took the most time. We have 22.5 inch tires and want to get to 95 pounds so we will try again soon to get to 95 pounds. Ours sat for over 5 months in storage and they where at 95 on November 1st . So it is true that they do go down every month. I think 115 pounds is tops and 95 it a happy middle of the line as it rides better at 95 and we are not full timers and not even close to our max weight.

RE: How many miles on your Ford V-10, and what problems?

2011 Sightseer with 10,500 miles on it . had the gear shift thing done last year and that is it. Had a 2003 Sightseer with 45,000 miles on it and no problems at all with it. The newer one rides and drives better with the 22.5 tires and more power to.

RE: Direct tv reciver locked 771

Went on line and started up the receiver but you still have to get a signal to get the up dates. Talked to the installer and said to get a meter from Camping World get set then turn on sat after rebooting the receiver on the web site.

Direct tv reciver locked 771

I got my coach out of storage Sunday and tried to fire up the Direct TV . I have a crank up model and the receiver would not let me get to the signal strength . Called the installer that did our house and coach and he came today and forced it to up date . He says he has to go to all the lake home every year to get the receivers to work. Five months with out service and up dates . I got the bill when I got home from work almost 50 bucks .I hope I do not have to do this every spring. I called Direct TV on Sunday and the guy did not have a clue. So I called today and they are emailing me how to do this. Has any body had this trouble with there receiver . Our old coach with direct TV a few years ago would let me go to the signal strength and get a signal every spring what gives. Did get some pay channels for a month for all my trouble so at least I am getting something for my 50 bucks.

Leveling on slop

I was leveling my coach and to get it level it raised the back up a lot. Not off the ground but you could see through the top of the tires to the other side. It also made the front end go down a lot . will this hurt the front end or not . If it was for a day or two I do not think it would hurt the front end but for a long time it might. What are your thoughts on this . Thanks Ford gas motor home

RE: WOW!! Weep hole covers really do work!!

We had ours delivered from the factory and fell off coming from Forest City . They sent me new ones and all good . What they told me is the covers are for inside steam in the coach to get out. We did use tape for a week or two but the one right behind the mirror is the one that needs one the most.On a Winnebago there where right ones and left ones but not sure on other coaches.

gas in stored motorhome

I store my motorhome for the winter every year and pour the pink stuff in the gas tanks and then fill it up and run the gen set and coach to the fair grounds about 12 miles then shut it down and fog the gen set and shut it down. Hear is the question I get it out around this time and go south every year to Myrtle Beach or some where warm. But this year we are not going on a long trip till the second week in May. Will the gas be ok to use on small trips to get ride of it for the next 6 weeks or not . Every other year I burn it up fast going south and this is a first for me . Any help would be great.

RE: How Well Does Your Ford V10 Motorhome Tow Your Toad?

We tow a Trailblazer at 4,600 pounds and if we get in to the mountains you will know it is back there. I would take your car and take it to a truck stop and have it weighed to see if you are under 5,000 pounds. We do not fill the gas tank about 1/2 most of the time. Your weak point is the 5,000 pound hitch on the back.If you are under 5,000 pounds you should be ok. If you are in flat roads you wont notice the toad as much .

Think spring, last year it was 80 when we left for Myrtle Beach and it was like summer this time last year in Ohio and South Carolina . What a difference a year makes. Leave on on May 9th for Myrtle Beach my daughter is a High School teacher in Conway and she is getting her Masters in Education and we are going to see a kid in cap and gown once more . Can not wait.
