RE: First time using Dexter E-Z Lube axle

How many pumps on the grease gun does it take to fill the inside cavity and not push out the axel seal? I think this is an unsafe system and should never be used. I think over weight is safer than no brakes and I'm not into overloading either.

RE: First time using Dexter E-Z Lube axle

Pumping to fast is not as much of a problem as knowing when to stop.

RE: ENGINE continues to accelerate after letting off

Gas or diesel would help for sure. I think gas but others think diesel.

RE: Slides won't close

You should charge your batteries for at least 24 hrs. with a good battery charger. You are asking to much out of your altenator and convetor.

RE: Air bags vs. WD hitch

I can't rap my head around the fact if I pick the back of my truck it doesn't transfer any weight to the front.

RE: Front Wheel Won't Spin

The brake cans with the big spring is in the rear. You have a rod with a pin through it check that the pin turns free. If not this is the cause of your problem. The rods should be the same lenght from left side to right side. The side with the locked brake may be longer than the other. If so back off on the slack adjuster.

RE: A major pickup camper rebuild, where to put a toilet

I haven't used a truck camper in years but mine had a holding tank for the floor. The toilet shower and sink all drained into this tank. This gave the old saying poop, shower and shave. lol

RE: Non-Programmable AC only thermostat - do-able ?

I think I would put thermostat back in living room and use a small electric heater to help heat the bedroom. We use electric heater to heat the whole camper. The only time we use furnace is when boondocking or no electric . You could try adjustable floor grills to help even the furnace heat.

RE: suspension upgrade

I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe people would spend 50 to 100 dollars an hour with welders instead of 20 to 30 dollars in parts.

RE: 30 amp upgrade

I have been in campsites where the 30 amp plug wires off the 50 amp and the 20 amp plug wires off the 30 amp. You don't doubble hook.
