RE: 5th wheel summer storage

I would cover the trailer with "breathing" material cover to protect is from the sun. Cover the wheels. Leave the fridge door open. Fill water into 3-4 buckets and place them in the trailer,I did this while in storage in Arizona-the buckets were EMPTY after 3 months.. Remove all food and vacuum the kitchen draws . Best of luck

RE: Moving to 5th Wheel from TT. Lots of Questions

HERE is rating chart. I believe that the hitch will not disturb the soft cover from closing when unhooked, but before the purchase ask the store.

RE: Dumping holding tanks explained... Sorta.

Sorry in advance Moderators if this post belongs someplace else but I had to share this because we are just getting started and this incident made the wife and I laugh out loud. Last night it arrived! No - Not the camper that is still several weeks away. But today we did get the sewer hose and the clear section that I'd ordered from Amazon. Got the Rhino 15' Sewer Hose Kit in case you are wondering. Naturally the ever curious Daughter had to know what was in the box and so I tried to evade the question just a little with a very generic "It's a hose for the camper sweetie." Hah! I should have known that this tactic would fail! This girl is already too smart for dad! "Whats the hose for daddy?" She asks... And so - trapped - I gave her the 5 year old explanation of how the camper connects to the sewer/dump and how the holding tanks need to be emptied... I can't really explain the look on her face. But its was PRICELESS! Clearly she had never considered how the potty would work in a camper and frankly she'd probably never considered how the potties in our house really worked... But now she knows (LOL) and seemed satisfied with my "Dumping tanks for 5 Year Olds" class - she went on her way with the rest of her evening. ;-) Now try to explain to her how baby's come to this world....and get camera stand by.

RE: Wax easy

meguiars cleaner wax I will mention three products. My favorite is the one I quoted (easier than trying to spell the name) Dry-Wash & Guard RV Solution. I use the latter for touch up work, which I need to do this week. Which Meguiars product to use for wax, restore and easy apply?

Wax easy

I have a 5W Gel Coated 2006 that is on the road every summer for 4-5 months and is stored in the open during winters and some times covered with snow. I have minor not deep scratches from tree branches that I collected during the years . I am looking for an easy wax product done by hand . Thank you

RE: Rough start to the season!

Things happen when you DO stuff and there is always a solution. One day I drove to my spot in a C.G and sank into the grass, could get out only after the owner pulled me out with his tractor... So we learn as we go...

RE: Escort

Great 5W looks very comfortable if you are F/timing, allot of space for everything you need, but I am sure that in some C.G you will need to leave the fiver out and enter only with your tow....

RE: Newbies looking for the right fit

60k for just the 5th wheel In this price range you can chose from many manufacturers. I would go to few RV shows and look for a floor plan that I feel comfortable with. Post on the forum 2-3 options and get feedback from owners, this is much better than what a dealer can tell you,he is only interested in your $$. After you chose the 5W you can match the Tow to the weights and not the other way around. Try to get not only a good product but also one that has good service department (this also you can learn from owners). I will be in Toronto in late Jun and if you like to meet than send me PM. Take a look at this chart http://www.futureentrepreneur.com/bluebook/rv-market.php Best of luck

RE: Trip to PEI, NB, Novia Scotia

We did the same trip including Newfoundland 3 summers ago and as you we prefer max flexibility and therefore did not do any reservations (except the ferry to NL)at all and had no problems what so ever.

RE: Waxing/Cleaning

No, but just from reading the use instructions, it appears to be similar to the Zep flooring product sold at Lowes for a fraction of the cost. The Zep coating (can't remember the name) may be on sale right now for $3.95/Gal. Would you use it on a Gel Coated RV sides?

RE: Camping would sales not honnering there commitmen....Update

Lately I came across few complains about CW on this forum and I would not stop by posting a "complaint" here. Write to the CW Management attaching all necessary documents/photos,if this does not work go to a good lawyer for advice on the next steps. WE are the customers and we should GET what we paid for.
