RE: Help Me Find GOOD Fresh Water Hoses

Want to thank all of you for the responses. Give me lots to check out. Should buy the coiled hose cuz they are on sale. As for rolling the hoses up correctly? Well you got me there. Seems the lighter hoses have always kink for me. Am I doing it wrong? Probably. Again thanks for the info.

Help Me Find GOOD Fresh Water Hoses

Tired on these junkie water hoses I have been getting. Kinks all the time and leaks at the fittings. Have bought them from Camping World and Walmart. All that I have bought are the same crappy quality. Someone know where I can get good quality water hoses? Don't care where they are made just so long as their good. thanks

RE: Cleaning Black water tank

Drano has caustic chemicals in it. It may hurt the tank, seals. Don't think it it safe for septic systems which a lot of parks are on. There are plenty of RV safe chemicals out there you can use. Not sure why ppl are so concerned about having a squeaky clean black tank. It's just going to get dirty again when you use it. Make sure you have a few gallons of water in it all the time. I like to dump when I first get to the rv park. That way everything hasn't settled yet. I am no expert but this has worked for me for years. good luck

RE: Protection from AZ sun... fabric cover for 43' Class A ?

I started checking on awnings for our coach. Same as yours DHart. Wanted to be able to open the slides when under cover. I need top and one side and front and rear. Other side is next to my shop so don't need anything there. Only checked 2 places locally just to see. Estimate $15-17,000. I know I could probably get it cheaper but still!! Right now I face it east for a month then have it face west for a month. Front, back and top still get hammered tho.

RE: Venting Propane tank

That is why you should NEVER store a propane tank indoors. So all those fifth wheels and motor homes running around with propane tanks are doomed? Both our mh's had the tank in an area that had a door but no floor. While closed not really indoors.

RE: Portable / Countertop Oven That Bakes Like a Home Oven ?

This type of camp oven is made by several different brand names. It has a stove on top and an oven underneath. We've never owned one but it might be worth checking as it serves double duty. We have one similar to this. Wife has baked cookies and baked chicken. We use the over more than the stove top but would buy another one when this goes belly up.

RE: Cummins Filters HR Endeavor 8.9L 425HP

Ok I can't seem to find anything about changing the fuel filters in either the HR book or Cummins book. Any idea where I can get that info? Checked the Air flter thingy and it's at 15% not going to change that yet. Fuel filters need to be changed at 25,000 have 13,000 now. Going to change the oil before our next trip. Think they need to be changed at 15,000 but not sure how far we will drive this year. Better safe than sorry.

RE: Cummins Filters HR Endeavor 8.9L 425HP

Since you put the fuel filter on dry it's not hard a thing to do, even on the side of the road. Really? I thought you had to fill them first so that there is no air in the system.

Cummins Filters HR Endeavor 8.9L 425HP

Have a HR Endeavor 8.9L 425HP engine. Need to get filters. Need air and oil first. Where is the best place to get these? Probably have many threads on this but couldn't find them. TIA

RE: Satellite dome

I have some spray from Rustolium that is supposed to repel water really good. Don't know how well it will work on the dome, that's what I bought it for but haven't used it yet.
