RE: Help ??

Only bowel movements, urine, toilet paper, and water go in the toilet. No ladies products or garbage, etc. That is the best way I knew how to say it.

RE: Dog pooping in crate

We always take her outside before leaving. Her bowel movements are normal outside. This is the same (size) crate we initially used and she did not mess in it. She is still on the same food she has been eating all along. Her poop is solid. We don't yell at her since we think it is our fault. Should we start having her sleep in her crate of the night time again?

Dog pooping in crate

Good evening. I am going to post this tonight and then go to bed. I will check the answers tomorrow. Thanks in advance. We got our dog from the Humane Society in Kerrville, Texas last year this time. She was a four year old Shih Tzu. When we got her she was very well potty trained. Whoopee. We started out with a crate and when we were away or went to bed she went in the crate. She never had accidents in the crate or in the house. I think we messed up. We started letting her sleep with us and not be in her crate when we left. All was well for seven or eights months. Then one day she pooped in the motor home while we were gone. We watched her closely and no problems until the next time we left her alone for less than two hours. She pooped again. Now we have started putting her in the crate when we leave and she is doing it in the crate. We are not angry with her because we think we have caused it. How do we fix the problem? She is a wonderful little girl and at least she messes in the crate and not the motor home. Thanks for your replies. By the way, we have not yelled or screamed at her. I pointed at it and said bad girl and that was it.

RE: Honda CRV.

Will the DP stop it? Probably. HOWEVER, if you have an accident, realize not having a supplemental braking system is a good excuse for the insurance company to deny your claim. Also leaves another opening for a lawsuit because you did NOT do all you could have to be safe. I can't even tell my toad is back there but I have a supplemental braking system to protect me from lawyers.

RE: Portable Grill comparisons...

I love my Weber Q100. I use to have a problem with some of the opening in the burner plugging up. Now, I take it to the car wash twice a year and it works even better than it did when it was new.

RE: Should my AC empty condensor water to the roof?

You don't want any kind of opening into the walls for water to run down. Even if it is a tube. I could spring a leak inside the wall and you don't want that. Watch others a/c.

RE: Trip report and need a little pep talk...

I have been reading a lot of blogs where people are talking about the wet weather this year. We are also. I am flat tired of rain. Last year was no rain and a lot more fun. Hang in there the summer has not even started yet. Besides, you are with your family. Many families when they are at home don't see much of each other. Enjoy the time together even if the weather outside sucks.

RE: 50 amp/30 amp

My 99 Fleetwood Flair is only a 30 amp; however, I CAN run both A/Cs at the same time. It automatically uses only one compressor at a time. They both fade in and fade out at different times. It works well.

RE: CW protection plan dissatisfaction

This is the reason years ago I quit buying extended warranties for anything. I am still wayne_tw had it right in my opinion. See if you can negotiate a refund even if not for the full amount it cost you.

RE: Sewer solution - worth it?

I own a SS but have not used it for a couple of years. When I was using it, I loved it because we always stay at full hookup sites. I would dump, back flush, finish dumping and then put a clean hose away. I did not have to use water except to back flush. Then one time we stayed at a site that did not have sewer. I used the stinky slinky at the dump and was amazed at the stuff that came out of the tank due to the force of the dumping due to the larger hose. I use the SS occasionally to back flush but hardly have to due the the force of the stinky slinky flush. Is it good? Yes. But I still prefer normal use of the stinky slinky.

RE: Dealer Applied Coating

I fell for this on a Honda car I bought new one time. I know they laughed all the way to the bank. In that case it was just a fancy car way and nothing special. Save your money.

RE: Chocking Tires

Thanks! The parking brake is on, and I also don't lift the tires off the ground, so I will not chock. You know how it is, you read something and think "Should I do that?". No chocking for me. Have a GREAT day everyone and thanks for the replies.

Chocking Tires

We have been full-time now for two and 1/2 years and I finally ask this question. I was reading on the TT forum about accidents at the park due to not chocking the tires. I have never chocked my MH tires. I pull in, put the levelers down, slide out, hook up everything else and enjoy myself. This seems unnecessary to me, but I learn something everyday, should I chock? Thanks!

RE: Highways Magazine

I am happy about it. I can read it on-line and won't have to pay my mail forwarding company to send it to me.

RE: Sleeping in Daylight

We have the limo grade film on our bedroom windows and I set the blinds up instead of down to also help keep the sun out. Works great for us.

RE: Long Hot Showers in an RV?

I agree with 2oldman. I have no problem taking a 3 to 5 minute shower. My wife on the other hand takes a bath in our little bath tub. She loves it. It is to small for me to bathe in but works great as a shower. I did add the oxygenics shower head with helps to conserve water.

RE: Where on your RV do you put your states visited map?

Happy wife is happy home. Therefore the back of the van sounds like the best place.

RE: rental trailer

Camping World is a big organization. They are a business.. They CANNOT take care of something like this immediately. Good business practices demand that they investigate and see what went wrong and how this happened. Then they can solve the problem for the customer. Would everyone always wish to get a 48 hour turn around? Of course, but that is not possible in my opinion. I would expect them to check all angles before committing to a solution. I suggest giving the management team (not the dealer) time to work it out. They will get back to you.
