RE: Leave the fridge on or turn it off?
We leave our unit plugged up to electric and leave the refrigerator on all the time. Don't have to take catsup, mustard, mayo, etc. out and it's always ready to go when hubby gets hitch itch. We even leave a quart of "Parmalot" milk (the kind that stores without refrigeration) so we will have cold milk is we decide to go at a moment's notice. Ours is an 02 and has never been turned off.
RE: "I BELIEVE"...................
I believe we should sell our 1994 FL60 which has absolutely nothing wrong with it because I have found a newer one that has storage space that is fitting for
our 5th wheel, better known as "The Crammit Inn". I believe change is good for the soul every once in a while. I believe somebody else needs ours.
Preference Settings
I have tried to change settings to see photos, but every time I try, it sez, "we're sorry but an error has occurred". Please change them for me. Thanks.
RE: 5TH Wheel help
Our tow vehicle is 15 years old and I would not hesitate to leave GA heading for Alaska in it today. Old doesn't necessarily mean bad. Ours has had all the necessary maintenance, oil changes, etc. and we expect it to last the rest of our lives. Would love to have a new one, but not for the new price. Can't see enough difference.
RE: window awnings
We have them on all our windows except those in the ends of the slide outs.
They are great, make a huge difference in the amount of heat in the unit in sunny areas. Our back window has a sun shade rather than an awning and it just pulls down and hooks. We never had them before and never even thought about them, but they were on this trailer when purchased, and I would insist on them should we ever get another 5er.
RE: Mor-Ryde
Mor-Ryde is a great system. Had it installed on 95 Alfa 5th wheel and the Dodge tow truck. Now our Carriage had the IS Mor-ryde when we bought it. Would not have bought unit without it.
After installation on old 5th wheel, I left a full cup of coffee on table and we drove a couple of hours down a very bad interstate in West Virginia before I realized I had forgotten the coffee. Much to our suprise, when we stopped to clean the mess, none of the coffee had spilled. That made believers of us.
