I think that the CRV and Fit are the only two cars that Honda now approves for flat towing. I have a 2010 Fit and you can flat tow it. Ok through Honda as long as you follow the procedure. Go through all the gears then shift from drive to neutral and run it for 3 minutes.
They use to ok the Accord but no longer.

RE: 50 Amp Electrical Surge protection
Get the surge protection. I lost an ac due to a brown out at a campground where I was a seasonal. Didn't know that the campground was experiencing problems until it was too late. Now I never plug in without my surge protection. The only thing I would change next time is hard wire it vs the portable I have.

STayed for a week last year at lakje George RV park. Yes a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I'd do it again .
