RE: Green Sticker Renewals?

Hope you got yours in by this weekend, otherwise it's a 50% penalty! I did mine online Sunday AM, since it's a weekend they don't bring in the extra fees until today. Yep, money wasted, I mean sent Sunday!

RE: Green Sticker Renewals?

PNO is stand alone, you don't get to deduct that from the sticker, it's either one or the other. Well this is just stupid then.. $18 to PNO, $23 to pay late, so only a $5 difference. WTH, $10 per PNO, okay, a $5 savings, eff that, we are getting screwed either way!!!

RE: Green Sticker Renewals?

So anyone that has done the Planned Non Operation, when you finally register said OHV, does the $18 go towards your registration or do you still have to pay the full $52? I wanna PNO them for a few Months but if all I am doing is adding money in the DMV's pocket, forget it!!!

RE: to LED or not to LED

Hi mowdoc, It is unnecessary to pay huge prices for led's. The ebay ones referenced earlier in the thread are just fine. Been there done that.. You get what you pay for... I tried all the e-bay bulbs a few years ago, after they all failed, and one even tried to burn my trailer down. I switched to Rigid Industries LED's and have not had any issues! Scr3w E-Bay cheapies!!

RE: Electrical Problem II

when replacing the cables, go to a welding supply store and buy some welding cable and have the swedge on the copper lugs (I solder mine then swedge) - WAY better than battery cables from an autoparts store, and the cable is much more flexible. Yes... I have been around the diag nightmare merry-go-round!! Pulling that PUCKER is my last desperate charge to figure it out...

RE: Need help, electrical problem

Thanks guys, we got it. Daylight and a little hiatus from Sailor Jerry does wonders. The problem was the converter holds two fuses not one. One of them fell out and for some reason we didnt see that. Oh, and one of the gfi's was tripped. That is freaking weird, cause the same thing happened to me at Pismo!!!

RE: Need help, electrical problem

First check for voltage at the convertor, Second check the 40 amp fuse at the batteries. Lastly, double check those fuses at the convertor.. I have had a convertor fail in my FS2300 and everything in between..

RE: Tundra towing an inferno sst 29fsl

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

I love that you keep these pictures in your Photobucket account!... I guess I should start posting pics of Fords dead on the side of the road or on Tow Trucks!!! 6.0, nuff said!! Please stay on topic Derwud - The pictures are of a Titan that was pulling a WW FS2300. To much trailer for that truck - ended up bending the frame of the truck..... What's the story? I imagine that the trailer itself must have been overloaded as well right? Scary! Poor hitch set up with to much air (90psi) in the bags and big dip in the road, something had to give and it was the truck...

RE: Weekend Warrior FS2300

I'll be towing with a Titan, like you it would seem! 2008 Titan LE LWB 4X4 with BT. How does it tow it? I'm not concerned with power because I know that will be fine, Im most concerned with being safe as I'll always have my most precious cargo with me, my kids and wife. Been down this road - Had the same trailer with a 1/2 ton F150 and never did feel comfortable coming down the grades with this set up.... Im sure the Titan will tow it but you will feel much safer with the bigger brakes of a 3/4 ton or larger truck. The guys towing these FS2300's with 1/2 ton trucks are just in denial...... Good Luck:) Oh Jeff so funny.. No Denial here... Just no Fords!! In stock form the truck was fine, but in the heavy winds of the high desert, i was not comfortable. I talked to Greg @ PRG and we set-up some custom springs (He now has some special towing springs) and air bags set up with individual lines and upgraded shocks. What a difference.. Get a bigger hitch, 1400 lbs Equal-i-zer would be my choice. Get LT tires, Titans come with P rated tires and are a little soft. My truck is super stable now (not 3/4 ton long bed stable, but great for what it is) and a joy to drive.. My wife has even driven after a bad case of Derwuditius out near Barstow!!

RE: Airbags installed - proper towing advice needed

I run air lift bags and run 40 to 50 psi based on how much I have in the bed... I would get heavier bars though..
