RE: My exhaustive TT search

We went with a 2014 Jayco Jay Flight 32TSBH and it has a huge bunk room in the back. We got it with fiberglass siding and love it. We also liked the 32BHDS but it came down to the dealer having the 32TSBH in stock first.

RE: camping in Utah

We were at Lakeside this weekend. First time there and we would go back again for sure. Price was good and they have a good combination of residents and campers, but were in different parts in the park which I really appreciated.

RE: Financing companies you have used?

We financed our rig with a local credit union we joined to get the better loan. I too am not ashamed to say I financed my tax deductible RV loan. The memories and enjoyment worth the interest paid. And i guess I should also sell my house and wait 30 years and buy another one aince I don't have $230,000 to pay cash for my house.

Sounds like a fantastic price! Enjoy!

RE: Trade In Value

The NADA book dealers use will show the same price you see as low retail without any options. We were quoted $10,000 all across the board for our Wildwood. With the options selected on NADA (most of them being repetitious) our 2011 booked out almost at 22,000 this week, more than you could buy a new one for. I took out tbe slide and fridge (built intp the floorplan) and it came in at $18,000 for average retail. I listed it online for $15,500 and sold it for $15,300 in less than an hour.

RE: average age of rver

I am 28 and have been RVing my whole life with my folks. My wife is 24 and we are now on our fourth trailer in 2 years (first one was 1992 bought it for $2500 and sold it for $3300, second one was a 1995 that burned to the ground six weeks after we bought it. Last was a 2011 Wildwood that we just sold for $300 more than we paid for it and pick uo our new 2014 Jay Flight on Friday).

RE: 2013 Wilderness 3150DS vs. 2012 Jayco 32BHDS

We just bought a Jay Flight32TSBH and pick it up Friday. We looked at the Wilderness and while nice, we just liked the Jayco tons more. It is a little nicer, but also a little higher in price. We virtually looked almost every bunk slide trailer, and was most impressed With the Jay Flight and the Jay Flight and the Cougar. The Jayco came down to the hard door for both the bedroom and the bunkroom. We did get the Jay Flight with the fiberglass siding.

RE: northern Utah state parks

You can hear a little noise from Willard Bay but there are plenty of trees so it isn't terrible. We have stayed at East Canyon and we enjoy it, albeit no trees. I wouldny waste my time at Holiday Hills. We stayed there couple of years ago and horrible rxperience. We had a 23 foot trailer in a spot "large enough" for a 35 footer and it was a tight fit. Mostly residents with a couple of campers. We live avout 20 minutes from Mountain Green vut wished I lived there. Absolutely beautiful place.

RE: Purchased used camper want refund!

You should have checked it out closer before you bought it. If you bought as is and Camping World did not guarantee against leaks in writing, you are out of luck. Camping World did not do anything wrong here.

Our Wildwood has been great!

RE: Which cordless drill for your manual jacks?

I use a 18v lithium ion Makita and absolutely love it. It was originally hard to spend $200 for the drill/impact driver combo, but that drill is my baby. Best money I have spent on tools. I always bring the charger with just in case and have never had to use it while camping.

RE: Transitioning from Pop-Up to TT

Upgrade could just simply mean newer. I am pretty sure this thread wasn't started to say "Hey, pop ups are worthless so this is why I got a travel trailer". Some people need to relax. Congrats on the new trailer!

RE: Pullrite and Equalizer advice

The Equal-i-zer is not an entry level hitch... not even close to being one. I just bought one to go with my new trailer and absolutely love It. So easy to use. I had a trunnion style chain WDH and a round bar WDH before and they did okay but I like the EQ better. Granted, costs about twice as much. I don't have any experience with a pull rite so can't help you there.

RE: How far can you comfortably tow in a day?

I drive truck for a living so I could do 700 miles easy. If I had more time, I would assume to do 300-400 miles and enjoy the pace. It should all depend on how much time you have. I once did 1050 miles in one day in my car and that made for one looooong day.

RE: Any preferances ??

You guys are all making me very nervous. Lots of people use this forum as a scare tactic and RV dealer are evil places and people. If you feel comfortable with it and have looked it over, then go for it! After buying a couple older trailers private party, we wanted to buy from a dealer with the newer one. I am really glad we did.

RE: new camper (updated with pictures)

Congrats. He said he already bought it. Let's be happy with his choice as he is. I am a travel trailer guy but I love truck campers.

RE: Dear Marcus:

Just sad that Camping World will give you time of day and still complain about everything. Someone even called you back but sounds like you weren't available. So that is automatically Good Sam's fault. Good old fashioned trolling going along here. And Scott's email address is right there available for everyone to see.

RE: Buying my first Tt

If it checks out okay and the price is right, go for it! Your Yukon will handle that trailer easily.

RE: Buying our first FW tomorrow-advice?

The only advice I have is to quit reading other campers advice. Buy what you want to be comfortable. Agree. So many people here use this forum as a scare tactic. It doesn't have to be that way. You'll know when you are ready to buy, not anyone else here. Buying an RV is fun and exciting and should be enjoyable. My wife and I just bought our third trailer couple weeks ago and loved the process more than the first two. Our first one we bought July of last year was a 1992 and sold that because we wanted a real bed up front. Second one was a 1995 and were going to keep that for a few years, but that burned down couple months after we bought it. The newest one is a 2011 and this was more fun because we had several to choose from with the larger budget. So all I can say is have fun and enjoy the ride!

RE: GM Unveils 2015 SUVs

Not crazy about the exterior. When the current body style came out in 2007, I absolutely hated it. Now I absolutely love it. So the new body style may just grow on me.
