RE: What's a fair price to wash and wax an RV?

I took my rig to Camping World for the Deluxe Package ($8.95 ft.) for vertical surfaces only. I believe I received a 10% discount as a President's Club member.
I would definitely be happy with $7/ft. for on-site work.
Here are CW's prices for comparison.
Basic Package...........................................$3.49 per foot
Includes: Hand Wash/Dry Vertical Surfaces.
Deluxe Package..........................................$8.95 per foot
Includes: Hand Washed/Dry Plus Wax Exterior Vertical Surfaces, Window Cleaning, and Tire Dressing Application.
"The Works" Package................................................$11.95 per foot
Includes: Hand Washed/Dry Plus Wax Exterior Vertical Surfaces, Window Cleaning, and Tire Dressing Application. Also, includes steam cleaning or spot cleaning and vacuuming carpets
Premium Package........................................$14.95 per foot
Our top of the line service! Includes: Hand Washed/Dry Plus Wax Exterior Vertical Surfaces, Window Cleaning, and Tire Dressing Application. Also includes steam cleaning or spot cleaning and vacuuming of carpets, wheel polishing, and water bead windshield treatment.
Roof cleaning and treatments are additional, see below. Buffing and oxidation removal additional charge, estimates available upon inspection.

Check out uShip. I sold a 5er and the buyer used this service and was very pleased. Basically, people will bid on your request.

Oil change GM Vortec 8.1

I'm going to change the oil in my coach for the first time myself. Last year CW charged $60, this year they wanted $85. I haven't been able to find information on how many quarts the 2005 Workhorse Vortec 8.1 takes.
Also, the coach has about 12,000 miles. Does any see any problem in using Synthetic?

Engine insulation came loose

I took the engine access cover off the other day and found that the fire retardant insulation has come loose and is laying on the engine. It appears that the material it is supposed to adhere to is fiberglass. Can someome recommend an adhesive I can use to re-adhere the insulation to the fiberglass?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Dallas Ft worth area

I had to cancel a trip to that area. I was booked to stay at Treetops RV Village which is highly rated on RV Park Reviews.

RE: Looking for a good RV hauling service to move my 5'ver home.

I'm in Chicago area and sold my 5er to someone in AZ. They used UShip that allows you to post your transportation request and receive bids. He was happy with the bid he accepted and the transportation seemed smooth.

RE: Courtesy on the road…

I received a speeding violation and had to take a 4-hour class to avoid it going on my record. According to the instructor of the class, flashing your lights is illegal in Illinois. It is considered road rage, not a courtesy. I guess the police don't want to judge between a quick one-time courtesy flash and the wild flashing of a ticked off driver.
This is what it has come to.
Interesting that it is considered road rage, in NH, flashing your lights at an oncoming car lets them know that there is a patrol car waiting up the road in a speed trap. Police frown on motorists using this method of warning.
I was told that you can get ticketed for that as well. They've taken all the fun out of driving.
