RE: **** Whiskey Flats Rv Park ****

It is in the town of Hawthorne not far from the Safeway store. We have stayed there, nothing special, but a nice park. If you don't need hookups and want a water view I would stay about 15 miles North at Sportsman Beach, Fed. park. Regards, Dick

RE: Westgate RV Park Ocean Park WA

If you are looking for a ocean view you won’t find it in Long Beach. You may want to check out Andersons RV Park in Long Beach, good wifi and cable TV but I feel it was overpriced at $43.92 per night in Sept 2012.

RE: *** Laughlin NV.*****

I like Riverside a lot better, we did not care for the AVI Casino, if staying at Riverside you have more casinos to choose from. Regards, Dick

RE: Lighest Truck As A TOAD

Check the older toad guides 2010 Ford Ranger regular cab 2WD 4cyl with manual trans is 3030 base weight and towable as a toad. I used a 1985 Dodge D-50, 4 cyl., manual trans compact pickup truck by Mitsubishi and a 1989 Mitsubishi 4 cyl., manual trans Mighty Max pickup truck as toads with no problems. They were both regular cab and light weight. I wish I still had the 89 mighty max it was a great little truck. Regards, Dick

RE: V10 oil consumption

On our third class c with v-10, 2002, 2003 & 2005 chassis and never had oil usage like you are reporting or any engine problems, I use 5/30 regular oil. Current 2005 chassis is right at 70K. My usage is more like samsantdog reported. You Don’t say what year and mileage you have. If it is new you may need to follow your maintenance schedule to protect your warranty. Most new vehicles have now gone to around 7K for oil changes. On our new car even though the manual says 7.5K or 7.5 months I keep getting notices from the dealer at 3.5K, which I ignore. RE: 1st RV - so many choices - Winnebago?????

Some additional info: If you don't already know it you can go on winnebagoind.com and get brochures & more on previous year models, also a second owner registration if you purchase a used one. Another thought if you purchase a Winnebago product, join the WIT club. Regards, Dick

RE: Anyone towed a 2012 Nissan Frontier?
