RE: Computer slow

Ashampoo Win optimiser 6, Its free to try for 40 days and is fully funtioning program make sure you register on their site! Its easy to use and does all of your maintenace with one program. after you run the initial program and clean your system go back in to start up tuner and look for unwanted entries like, quicktime and adobe, if you are using instant messenger make sure it does not start . If by chanc e you undo somthing important it also does a automatic system backup. If you decide to use it I will be happy to help you thru it. Its easy to use and leaves a small footprint! I have been using this program for 6years and i install it on all my customers Pc's. Go to AShampoo.com and download Win optimiser 6. PS DO NOT buy the program because toward the end of your trial they will offer it to you for a 3rd of the price. CCleaner only does a little maintenace, Win Op does it all Rg cleaner, defrag, startup tuner, system information, internet turner, (file wiping, Milatary grade) etc. Also when a new version comes out it usually is a free upgrade. and the site has many more good programs,

RE: Heed Their Advice

you guys are wrong about a hard drive not being afected by road bounce, yes it does happen and more often than you think. I repair pc,s and my professor told us about hard drive head crash during movement in cars. I learned the hard way on my first pc repair, I made the mistake of putting it on the rear floor of my bronco. The pc was working perfect when I finshed updating it. but when I tryed to start it up at the owners house about 12 miles away the system would not respond! I felt like crawling in to it. I then took it homee and tryed several attemps to get it up and going luckily I was able to clone the drive. But when I returned it to the owner I made sure it sat on the seat and avoided most bumps as i could. Second trip back with new HD that i had to pay for(Ouch) It worked great. spoke with my professor a few days later and he confirmed his statment about head bounce! Desktop pc,s should be cushoned. Newer ones may not be so prone to head crash as older systems By the way I only charge 65 for hard drive clone!

RE: Extended Warranty on Used Tow Vehicle

Warranties are issued with the original buyer. and sometimes is offered with a vehicle of two years after purchase. You are trying to get a warranty on a truck that is now 5 years old soon to be 6, Dont you think you are asking for alot. Just pay for repairs as they arise, but if you insist on your quest You need to read this posting, i think it will open your eyes and reenforce what others has said about purchased warranties

RE: favorite Gettysburg PA campground?

Best CG in Gettysburg is Granite Hill CG, they care about their campers and will go out their way to make sure you are happy. Now they do not alow golf carts but they have a maintenace man that goes around and keeps an i on the grounds till at least 9pm! Drummer Boy wwith all its "Glory" shuts down at around 7pm and you are on your own. also the people race around on their golf carts till way after 10 pm.
Granite Hill has plenty to do as well as having cool evening activities, as well as having their Bluegrass festival twice a year. They are locate in the country away from road noise and their sites are very nice. They also will not charge you 10 dollars to change sites as another CG i have mentioned does. Granite Hill can handle any size rig you have! They also Have a killer putt-putt golf mountain

Bogus extended warranties

Ran upon this site today, two days after we recieved a letter that our waranty was about to expire! the company is Carsafe, I did a reverse phone number search and it came back no number found, I did contact our Dodge dealer and they informed me that there is no problem with our waranty expiring, unless we sell the truck,And if we want to extend our waranty all we have to do is contact their service writer!
I'm sure many of you have recieved these letters, contact your dealer first before you send these people your money! Be sure to watch the "Today Show" video at the end of the story!

RE: E-Z Up canopies

Gander mountain has the best deal on a canopy. It is easy to put up also it is made of heavy guage aluminum. and it comes with both the screen and a three wall wind break. This pic is the first time up for it, a later trip we purchased 5lb x4 canopy leg weights from Dicks sporting goods

RE: # of Pets Allowed at RV Parks

I own a Saint Bernard Service dog who now is well over a 100 lbs. I am waiting for a park owner to tell me he is not allowed because of size or weight! Pet area or not he goes everywhere with me. I keep the ADA law with me always, that does have the Attorney Generals office number in bold print and also list the fines and penalties. Why should I call ahead to ask i they allow service dogs.

RE: Some Honest Advice for a NEWBIE

Kampfyr,
I don't know what you are trying to say???? I said the dry weight is suppose to be the actual weight the unit weighed when it left the factory, so yes the sticker on the inside of the door is suppose to be the weight that the unit weighs on the dealers lot minus anything the dealer has added. I am not sure if you have a problem with this or not? I did not say that each and every unit are weighed. When they start a new model line they weigh a unit when it comes off the assmebly line and this is the weight they put on the lables, Unless changes are made that weight is applied to every unit of that same model. I would say there is probably a variable of 40 OR 50lbs in that figure. I do also suggest that everybody take your unit to a scale once loaded with all your gear to get an idea of the weight you are towing. You would be surprised how fast all that gear adds up.
Kevin
Hornet is right about only the first model of a run is weighed and not at every production run either they weigh the very first unit built and or mock up and thats the weight you see on the label in the doors only an estimate is made with the dealor add ons!
How do I know, cause i had worked for Fleetwood Travel Trailers of MD

RE: Breakaway cable routing

I have seen people hook the break-away link to the bumper and or hitch which is totally incorrect! It should always be conected to the frame or body of the truck in case of hitch failure. I have worked for a tow company and have retrived trailers from embankments and out of woods with the break away link hooked to the bumber and or hitch if it was hooked to the frame of the truck they would not had to purchase a new trailer.

RE: towing with a half ton

When 1/2 ton trucks are mentioned towing anything but a popup, everyone gets their panties in a bunch. the difference between a 1/2 ton and a 3/4 ton are the springs and somtimes the rear gear ratio. and pending on tow package ordered with either truck. If you put a small block in one 3/4 ton and and big block in a second one guess which one is going to pull or haul better. Same difference if you take the big block 3/4 and have light springs on it All it will be good for is going fast! put if you take the 3/4 ton with small block and beefe springs and good gears it will pull a house down. Same with a 1/2 ton with a heavy duty springs and a big block and the right gears it will do the same job. you don't always need a diesel.
Dodge mega cab 1/2 ton right, but on a 3/4 ton drive train

RE: gettysburg,pa

I live 30 minutes from Gettysburg we have made a point of discovering it this year. You cannot see all it has to offer in a weekend or a week! there is always somthing new to venture into. Start with the shops downtown, then go to Washington street and ride the Ghost train , then you have the many battlefield sites. and make sure you visit Kennys market you will love it! on Middle street. If you are camping I would suggest Granite hill Cg it nice clean and quiet! If you prefer to use a golf cart then you would do better at Drummer Boy but be prepared to hear the traffic on rout 15, or if you like horses got to Artilary Ridge Cg it is close to the CG and they do horseback riding tours. Most of all as mentioned before got to the visitors center that in itself will take at least 3-4 hours Let me not forget a trip to Boyds Bears, you actually can make your own bear!oh ya another 2-3 hours pending on the day you are there.
